  1. So I have heard and read about quite a few people ripping vinyl because they prefer the "analogue" sound. I have a few 24/96 rips and find they are pretty good. My biggest gripe with them is the pops and clicks. They always pull me out of the experience. This made me start thinking. From what I can recall, the 7.5 IPS RtR tapes are superior in terms of dynamic range and distortion as well as being free of pops and clicks. I know there is tape hiss, but it would not be nearly as distracting as vinyls pops and clicks. So... Back to the original question. Why aren't there more people making digital rips from the RtR's than vinyl? Just curious. I'd love to compare the difference between the vinyl and RtR.
