I have just got my Marantz SR6008 playing my library via MediaTomb from my Linux Mint 17.1 HTPC. Glad I just discovered this MediaTomb ... I have not been able to get the Marantz playing via neither of the two media servers I was using before when my old HTPC was running on Windows : - Asset UPnP - Logitech Media Server Has anyone of you got experience with this MediaTomb, especially as far as it's format streaming capabilities are concerned ? Is there any quality loss within the decoding process of format that the player eventually does not support ? I am playing both 16/44.1 and 24/96 either FLAC or WAV formats. Thank you so much.

Thank you Cebolla for the lead. I have got the Marantz SR6008 playing via MediaTomb, a media server I was not aware of, just discovered it googling around. The others two, Asset UPnP and Logitech Media Server are still useless. Has anyone experience in using this MediaTomb ? Especially as far as it's format streaming capabilities are concerned ? i.e. quality loss in the decoding process of formats that eventually the player does not support ? Thank you so much.

I'm in the process of setting up the streaming of music from my Linux Mint HTPC to the Marantz SR6008. My set up is composed of: - Marantz SR6008, connected to the wired home network - HTPC, OS Linux Mint 17.1, connected to the wired home network - Music library including MP3, CD-Audio files (16/44.1), FLAC & WAV files (24/96) - Marantz Remote Application for Android, version 1.1.4 I've trying the following UPnP / DLNA Media Servers, but the SR6008 does not want to play any music file via none of these: - Asset UPnP ---> installed in emulation mode via WINE - Asset UPnP ---> installed as package for Linux - Logitech Media Server ---> installed as package for Linux (I'm using it with my SqueezeBox) I can properly see the above-said media servers, and all my music library, by browsing the SR6008 Media Server by means of the Remote Application. However, the SR6008 rejects to play any file ---> "Cannot play the file" is the message I got on the remote application. Strangerly, the same set up was working with no problem of any kind when the SR6008 was connected to a Windows XP HTPC. Is there anyone of you guys can help me please ??? Thank you so much !!!
