  1. MathAudio has just released a new version of its Room EQ plugin which includes the Room EQ gain slider !!! Thanks, MathAudio!
  2. No, it's not fixed. There is still digital clipping happening as a result of Math Audio processing. This software needs the Level Adjust feature. Also, you are wrong about the real music not causing clipping issues.
  3. So far, I like most of all the Convolver (Foobar component) when I use it with the filters made in the Room EQ Wizard. I convolve the signal after it is upsampled to 176.4 or 192 depending on the original signal. The frequency of the REW filters must be the same as the signal.
  4. No, it is not possible. There is no such function in this program to convert ISO to DST. It can only extract DST from ISO, if ISO initially contains DST files (you can also choose to convert DST to DSD during extraction, if you wish). But if ISO contains DSD, you cannot use Sonore to compress DSD to DST.
  5. I just tried Math Audio as the Foobar Component (which is free, by the way) and it sounds pretty good, but it needs the function of volume adjustment as the processing results in digital clipping.
  6. Thank you for this idea. I did try already to feed DoP to my DAC via USB and different Foobar/driver configurations, but the best I achieved was white noise with very low-volume music buried in it I need to try DoP via SPDIF or toslink, I hope my computer has such an output on the motherboard. They may not want users to know about these advanced features (DoP via SPDIF, DSD via I2S, etc.) as it basically defeats the purpose of going for their more expensive DSD-capable DACs or upgrades...
  7. The DAC I own is called DAC-2 (I call it "DAC-2 non-DSD" just to differentiate it from other versions of this DAC; the Wyred4Sound website also calls it "DAC-2 (non-DSD)" when they offer DAC-2 (non-DSD) Driver Package in the Downloads Section. However, the chip inside (ESS 9018 Reference Audio 32-DAC) can decode DSD streams if such a stream is delivered to it. Unfortunately, you cannot deliver it via the current USB input, so the only other alternative is to try to do it via the HDMI input. This is the reply from Tony Holt (Director of Marketing of W4S company): "Also, the chip you have will decode DSD, however the USB implementation will not".
  8. Ted, I am afraid you are mistaken about both points. Gustard U12 can accept DSD (64 and 128 and even 256) and can output them as such, the chip in DAC-2 (non-DSD version) can decode DSD streams but the current USB receiver plate cannot accept it. So, my only question is whether the HDMI output of Gustard is compatible with the HDMI input of DAC-2.
  9. Hi DAC-2 owners! If I connect this device GUSTARD U12 to my DAC-2 (non-DSD version) via HDMI, will I be able send to it a DSD stream from the computer? Which formats are supported by the HDMI input in the DAC-2 (non-DSD version)? Thank you!
  10. I think it's a very individual matter, so one will have to compare and judge for oneself what sounds best to him.
  11. I used both Redline Monitor and Isone. I used to convert flac files to flac files in Foobar, while applying these effects during processing, and then copying the resulting files to my iRiver player which I listened to while walking outside. But then I purchased a Sansa Clip, rockboxed it and got a Meier Audio's natural crossfeed filter as part of the new firmware. It's what I use now. No need to specially prepare the files for portable listening now. This crossfeed can also be used as a Foobar component.
  12. Hello Bogi! Can you please add ISO2DST feature to your program? I prefer to keep my SACD as DST files and play them using the Super Audio CD decoder (Foobar component) because: 1) It preserves the original DSD audio (in case I buy a DSD DAC in future); 2) DST makes the smallest file size, even when compared to PCM 24/88. 3) It allows me, during the playback, to uncompress the DST audio files "on the fly" into a PCM format higher than 24/88 (e.g., 24/176 or 24/352) without needing to store such large PCM files. 4) It allows me to keep up with the latest versions of the Super Audio CD decoder.
