Dear all, I have a problem with playback on my MyDAC connected to Ubuntu. If there's a better forum for such a question I'd be happy to hear so.
The problem is: there is no audio! When I got the MyDAC last friday, I plugged it in and it was working fine: great sound, really happy! Today I fiddled around a bit with 'sinks' and since then: no more sound through USB... I've tried it with a Windows &7 laptop and it works. I've tried with optical toslink from the Ubuntu machine and it works. I've downloaded pavucontrol and when I play music in Rythmbox, I actually see some action in the levels in the 'playback' tab in pavucontrol, so the music is actually playing. The MyDAC is locked (the led is not blinking but constant white) but I hear nothing.
Driving me nuts. Has this something to do with tempering with the 'sink'? I tried this command but I'm not sure if this is the problem:
$ pacmd set-default-sink 1
