  1. as I mentioned in other thread the best way is to isolate variables such as several devices linked all together through several stages of systems and routers/switchers so maybe it'll be your case as well and not limited to setting of each device. first of all make sure your java8 plugin is latest version on your Synology, if you click on the icon there should be info and upgrade button, current latest version is 1.8.0_91, if you don't have it download latest version (8u91) from orackle site Java SE Development Kit 8 - Downloads (file called Linux ARM 32 Hard Float ABI) install it according to instruction.... next step is re-install of minimserver, once done just add it as music server again in your bubbleupnp app on your synology next step is to disconnect all not necessary devices of your network (everything except synology NAS, 1 streamer, 1 DAC and 1 ipad) , all of those 4 remaining devices should be linked into (one) same router (DAC to your streamer of course) next step is to make sure bubbleupnp app sees and has set your devices and minimserver, if not add/set it up according to earlier instructions... once done you should be able to see your minimserver and streamer in your Lumin app on your iPad, make sure your iPad is running on 5Ghz wifi... if it doesn't running properly report back your findings but do not connect to this configuration any other devices until all troubleshooting's resolved
  2. + exchange your LAN cable from router to NAS and assign fix IP to NAS within your router, do it in steps and test if it helped after each step as Cebolla mentioned, if none of this help your NAS might be faulty...(I doubt but...)
  3. Hi Relex, to be able to use Synology NAS USB output directly to your DAC you have to use dedicated Synology Audio Station app in your control device, it won't work with 3d party apps, if you tried it and didn't work problem might be compatibility of your USB chip inside/outside of your DAC with Synology NAS, can you tell us brand of your DAC/USB? I had no issue streaming music from NAS directly to my USB DAC but sound quality wasn't at expected level plus Synology app isn't my cap of tee...
  4. I got similar setup to yours, NAS running bubbleupnp server with minimserver > router > renderer...iPad running Linn Kazoo... as many people suggested to find root cause you should simplify your setup, I would suggest to connect your NAS and renderer into main router via LAN cable, connect your control unit (phone, tablet) to your main router (same as NAS and renderer) as well and try it again, there's too many devices connected to too many routers so it's hard to isolate potential problem with IP addresses, once you get connection between those 3 units make sure you will dedicate/reserve IP address to those 3 unit in your router to prevent future failures with lost visibility to your devices...
  5. did you set "USB speaker out" in your audio station? my xmos and tenor USB cards works fine...
