indeed, and not had lots of opportunities to listen, so it has been on a source loop and listening to telly of an evening up till now I am generally happy with it, but from recent memory its not quite same performance as my Vega/Taurus setup, some more running in may help. Also I have no access to ultra high def material where I would expect it to perform better. Having also recently moved house, I have most likely lost some perspective for comparative testing. perhaps better waiting for a more appropriate review from another source in meantime.

after thinking leaving the VEGA and Aries powered up would solve my issues, alas no still have to reboot Aries to get rid of the static. beginning to think there are gremlins elsewhere in system

budget £5k max looking for floorstanders full Auralic system with Analysis plus cabling so want to ensure it doesn't get too clinical I'm currently thinking............ Audio Physics Scorpio Plus [supplying system dealer has these for demo] Monitor Audio Platinum 200 [demoed alongside my current Vienna Acoustics about 3 years ago] anyone else care to recommend alternatives ? room size 15ftx15ft, laminate flooring

exact mode on VEGA, which I've been wondering might be an issue but no-one else has asked the question yet

this now makes sense why both my Aries and VEGA give me an option to turn off when I remotely power down my whole Auralic system. Taurus pre goes into standby, Meraks switch to standby but Aries and VEGA can stay powered up and I can switch off their displays If this gets rid of my sound break ups I can live with that on another subject should I be grounding the linear power supply on my Aries, and is it acceptable just to attach to the ground terminal on rear of my phono stage ?

Hi, I have a full Auralic setup and since the addition of the Aries have been having sound breakup and distortion when coming out of standby this is exclusively with the Aries as a source. Rebooting the Aries has no effect, power cycling by means or rear switch on the VEGA clears it. Reported it to supplying dealer last week who suggested leaving system fully on to see if issue is still apparent. I will do this at a later date. I've been away for a few days and powered everything down, came back today switched system on and as usual from a cold power up the Aries struggled to detect the USB port of the Vega without a power cycle on the VEGA Double checked and swapped out USB cables , and power cables with no effect so hoping someone can offer some insight here. Music is available via Minimserver on My Synology DS 414, Aries is connected wirelessly [have tried hard wired as well btw] thanks for looking
