  1. I’m using the sleep server method. Is there a good reaso pan to change?
  2. Ok guys, I got it and am ripping the first one. How do I proceed to rip the second one. Same process? put new sand in tray, turn off player, click execute?
  3. I’m confused between your too post about quick start mode. Enabled or No?
  4. I thought so. Here is my current status. I boot the S590 with the same thumb drive that worked for the Pioneer for years. It does what I expect which is take a minute to boot then eject the tray. I can talk to it from my computer using the same Sonore SACDExtractGUI as I had been using with the Pioneer. The only thing I change is the IP address, otherwise everythings stays the same. I click the button to start the rip and Nothing happens. No output. The big difference that I can see is that I'm using Wi-Fi because the Ethernet Port is not working for some reason. I can connect to the S-590 no problem through Wi-Fi but that is different that what I was doing with the Pioneer. I'm going to dig through settings on the S590 to make sure something isn't weird. Should I try it through the CLI? Any suggestions? Thanks
  5. Hi my pioneer I have been using for 4 years died so I purchased a Sony S590 on eBay. I’m having a little trouble but wanted to verify something before I ask for more help. Is it the same auto script file and folder structure as the pioneer was? I had researched before I bought and it seem like it was. thanks

    HQ Player

When I get home I can test this but wanted to know if this would work. I have hq player desktop running on my Ubuntu server. I want a client on my Mac laptop. Do I just download the Mac dmg and install hqplayer? I only have one license, can I just install client without the license?

    HQ Player

I fixed it. I just killed hqplayer which kill all instances I think then started it. There must have been multiple instances somehow. I think it has to do with startup where I have hqplayer open at startup. I’m going to stop this for now, but I now know how to fix it if I need to do this again. thanks all

    HQ Player

@Miska I looked at the listening ports, see below. Do you see anything strange? It looks normal to my poorly trained eyes. I restarted my HQPlayer cpu and it doesn’t help.

Thank you for your reply, how can I check my sound settings to test.

    HQ Player

Thanks everyone for your replys. I’ll go into more detail when I start HQPlayer, it sends me a message saying “failed to open audio device please check settings”. It brings up config screen, which is all correct and like I’ve had it for years. My device is selected, then at the bottom of HQPlayer it reads as the screen cap below says. my settings are in another screen app. my problem is newish. It’s definitely since I’ve upgraded to 22.04 low latency. I have newest nvidia driver. I typically play from Roon but I can’t play from Roon or HQPlayer. I send it to an Ultrarendu connected to m y Holo May. It has worked before with this configuration for a few years now. It worked since I’ve upgraded as well but not in maybe 2-3 weeks. I don’t know where to get the log files but would attach if desired. thanks mike

    HQ Player

Should there be a hqplayerd Service running when you see which services are running on Ubuntu? I’ve been trying to debug some problems and wanted to see if any HQPlayer services are running, I don’t see it. im using the Desktop 4.19.3. I thought something should show up but didn’t see anything.

    HQ Player

I’m having an issue and hoping someone could help. I put Ubuntu 22.04 on my HQPlayer machine. This machine largely just runs HQPlayer and a Plex Server. I upgraded it a month ago but have not used HQPlayer in the month since. Two days ago I tried to play music from HQPlayer and it would not find my Ultrarendu. I’ve been using this machine and HQPlayer since 2018 with the same Ultrarendu. Not had this problem. My only connection issue has ever been after power outages and I just restart the cpu and it fixes it. I have power cycled everything multiple times. I can see both device on the network. I can ping the Ultrarendu from the HQPlayer machine. I have updated the Ultrarendu, HQPlayer, and Ubuntu 22.04. No change. Pleas and the machine are no problem. my machine runs 22.04 low latency everything is Ethernet connected. ubiquiti switch between the devices. I test all the data cables and no problem. can anyone think of anything else to test? I’m stuck. thanks mike
