Just trying something

I'm just here. Why does everyone say I'm banned? Am I talking to myself or something and my posts are not visible to anyone else!?!?

Is this prot thing going to die at some point? I'm not sure I want to carry that around forever. Might as well just give up. Also some people say that my DBT thread was deleted. Looks fine in my bookmarks, even posted a test message there. Anyone with some clarification on that!?

I am all for "measurements are important but MAY not tell the whole story". Before I go any further than that I would like to see some serious proof. And I havent in spite of asking in many places. Not a popular point of view around here. Not at all. Hope you dont mind. I just dont like changing my opinions very often. And when I do it I wanna know the change is there to stay.

May not be the worst idea. Plus and minus like with everything else. Here is a sample. Someone posts some cableX is night and day better report. It is obvious he did not even half test that. Is anyone with objective opinions allowed to say anything or should just avoid the thread? Can I at least say that my cables do not sound at all!? Or someone with an obvious comercial interest starts praising his own horses. Are we allowed to say 'helllooo!' And where does 'no DBT' stop exactly? Can I still say 'anecdote' in the no DBT zone?

First of all NO to the thread's question. Would be funny to ban a subject after everyone complained so much about the HA bans on non dbt. In my view the above wuote is actually the better question. But I'm all for creating some sort a special thread. For example one where you have to be invited. Maybe not the best idea because of the clear fragmentation that it will provoke. Maybe someone has a better idea. And Superdad, I do not think a public forum can be likened to a private party. It's a marketplace, anyone can say his/hers opinion. Or just yell trolls. There is no party crasher concept on a public forum. And also, in case I was actually invited to your dinner, I would expect you invited my opinions too. Dont think your comparison holds much water but other than that I'm all for civil and especially To-The-Point discussions. My view is that one is allowed to hit the message with everything he got. Just leave the messenger alone.

Huh, what are you guys talking about? Was I banned for a while as I was happily trying headphones? I dont see any sign of bans now. Or maybe just some of my posts were deleted!? Dont see any of that either but it would be somewhat unfortunate. Although, to be fair I would also delete some of my stuff if I could

I'm pretty sure it does 'sound' much better than $700 cables . Pretty sure as in 'tested both with my own ears and gear'. If there ever was a proverbial night and day sound difference in my experience, that would be one of the best candidates. That device is also the most expensive to my knowledge. And not that much compared to audio stuff. Especially since it's on the best-of list for its category. Carrying the beloved 'made in germany' label too. And now I'm talking like the anecdote-full salesman

Either / or, black or white, no room for other opinions, get off if you think different. Nice, friendly view. It feels quite funny you know to be called antagonistic and 'nasty' and 'troll' by the very people who do _exactly_ that. Some do only that.

As I put it somewhere else for me this is the Computer Audiophile. A perfectly fine view. And not sure why you are dragging that antagonistic either/or view with you. If I want data and tests and to hear about proven devices it does not make me the devil. Nor anyone else who shares the thinking. There is room for everyone and every opinion. Personally I'm not even close to that HA corner you talk about. Posted it many times that anecdotes are ok, just not data and not as good as independent reports. They are just neutral when written sincerely and with no agenda. And whats wrong with calling an untested report as untested?! That would be my 'very popular' talk about anecdotes.

That is one of the fastest improvements ever. Almost never fails either . You can feel it, you can hear it, you can taste it. Talk about a complete package. And another similarly effective, fast, guaranteed and fully tested audio tweak would be cleaning your ears PS hope no one gets disturbed by that comment, it's legal where I come from. In my neighborhood that post would be same as one praising chocolate.

According to all I know about it - and as an IT guy I do have some forum exprience both personally and professionally - that is the very definition trolling. Somewhat ok here though, it is after all a trolling and trolls thread. And I hope it does not get closed and/or deleted soon. Not that it brings anything of much value but personally I dont want it to be erased and the same very personal trolling to start again everywhere else.

Looks like you do also have a very vocal group following you and trolling all your posts everywhere. And that is not opinion. When someone posts a few 'please keep it civilized' posts which are answered in flames and strange lol-s, that _is_ clear trolling. Is it just because the bits is bits thing and the jplay stance? And apart from not caring much, how do you deal with that? Not caring is ok for me but that is for me only. Having every thread where I post twisted into 'you troll/full/wanker' is not what I want and it is disturbing for any bystander. Appologies to any disturbed bystanders. Again and anytime you want me to!. If it's any vague consolation for any of you, that endless trithio 'discussion' disturbs be too. Hope it will not get out of this thread in the future. And for anyone who actually wants that 'lets talk trithio/trolls'. Could you please keep it here? One thread is enough for that.
