  1. Alex, are you taking ibuprofen for the pain? It worked wonders for me recently when I tore my Achilles tendon for both pain & swelling. I'm not sure how it would work for bruised/cracked ribs but ibuprofen is always by go-to for treatment of pain. Good luck! Cheers, Robin
  2. Did you also spring for the LPS-1 power supply or are you using the Meanwell SMPS? I'm hoping to upgrade my Regen & Meanwell come tax return time in a few months with both the IsoRegen and the LPS-1. About the only plus I've found in not currently being able to afford this upgrade is when I do finally place an order, there will be no wait!
  3. I bagged the hard adapter before Alex even had his webpage changed,,, it was right up my price range. And it made a solid soundstage improvement too. I simply have no need to spend hundreds of dollars for PC improvements that aren't really necessary. That's my retired/fixed income point of view along with what I'm now enjoying with my system, maybe next spring come tax return time, I can be enlightened. Or not. But 1 thing's certain, the Regen was the best $175 I've ever spent and the USPCB Adapter was the best $35 bang for the buck deal ever! Cheers, Robin
  4. Likewise, I'm more than happy with my Regen & Meanwell, ecstatic since day 1 even,,,,, but then again I can't afford either the LPS-1 or Iso-Regen let alone both together, so what choice do I have? I'll happily suffer thank you. Cheers, Robin
  5. Sorry for the dumb steer Allen, the JS-2 is so out of my price range, I never noticed there was no "Add To Cart" button on the link I provided and haven't followed this thread enough to know about Alex's ordering process. I'm envious.
  6. Buy one maybe? https://uptoneaudio.com/products/js-2-linear-power-supply
  7. IMO, that should be the #1 question/answer with all these ISO Regen listening impressions!
  8. Just received my USPCB A>B Adapter today from Alex, I was quite surprised on the improvement that was achieve by this simple little upgrade connection. Better separation & wider soundstage, awesome gain for just $38. The LPS-1 will be my next Uptone Audio purchase, maybe by this fall. The ISO Regen will simply have to wait til probably next tax returns aka spring. If nothing else, the USPCB A>B Adapter as me wanting more. Mission accomplished Alex! Cheers, Robin
  9. The Regen(s) work just fine with any USB converter prior to a S/PDIF dac. I much prefer using my Empirical Off-Ramp converter and S/PDIF to a Havana dac over the Havana's USB input.
  10. Actually what surprised me the most was Jay Tee's LPS-1 comments when compared to the JS-1! Gotta say that makes me want to upgrade my Meanwell SMPS that much more. I took from his comments of how impressed he was with the LPS-1 and not so much his discounting the ISO as he hasn't even tried it yet. Seeing how that was my question from the first day the Iso was introduced (doing a LPS-1 or an ISO upgrade first), Jay Tee's gushing over the LPS-1 definitely caught my attention. I anxiously await Jay Tee's replacing the old Regen with the ISO even tho in reality, it'll be awhile before I can afford either. Also in reality, it's been nearly 20 years since these diabetic lips have touched our Vermont's #1 treasure, Vt Maple syrup. I save the sweet stuff for my ears. Cheers, Robin
  11. This hyped scenario isn't quite true for most as I would think most new ISO-Regen customers will be making their listening comparisons to an old Amber-Regen and not straight out from a computer as you are indicating Alex. (which by the way is exactly how I felt when I made my amber Regen purchase) Jay Tee makes a valid point when adding the LPS-1 to AN OLD REGEN but what will be even more enlightening is when he replaces the old Regen with the ISO-Regen and see if he still feels the same about amber Regen owners possibly purchasing the LPS-1 first before replacing the reasonably priced Regen with the double expensive ISO-Regen. I for one will be most interested in what's to come, about if for no other reason than to validate replacing the amber-Regen to begin with instead of just adding the LPS-1 to a Meanwell SMPS which after all is the most cost effective option here for present amber Regen owners on a fixed income like myself. Cheers, Robin
  12. Alex, has all first run production of the Iso Regen been shipped out yet? Just patiently waiting for that "Add to cart" button for the USPCB A>B adapter, when you're ready in due course, of course. Robin
