  1. I understand that because the AP2 playing fine 24/96, you thought about another alternative. Playing 16/44 to 24/88 and 24/96 is the most important gap in term fo sound quality except if you want to play 2,8 MHz DSD in DoP mode (24/176 would be required). The AP2 is a excellent USB to SPDIF interface which is more improved by using linear supply instead of reaching 176 or 192 frequencies to my point of view.
  2. Question about the AP. Is it known to work perfectly under Win10 pro or Win 8.1 pro ? If Philipp Grubele (really very kind and competent person) told you that your AP should work with win pro, may be you should send back the AP to Audiophilleo. I did it from France to US without any problem and it was less expensive that I imagined.
  3. You are right: the Puc2 is a touch more forward than my Audiophilleo 1 with purepower that I owned before. But after a while, it is just an "homothtic" transformation and for me it was not a problem which was quickly forgotten after a few adjustments on the position of the speakers. I do not find the puc2 has a bright sound signature but I use it with an external 5V. If your NOs DAC has spdif input, you have to consider a 110 to 75 ohm impedance transformation. To me, this has a sound effect as the digital cable used between the dac and the Puc2.
  4. About the PUC2: I test Windows 10 (version 1511 build 10586.17) with J River (20). With Win 10 and Yellowtec driver (29.86.26), it is the first time that I can use a buffering of 50 ms without pops and clicks. The DSD bitstream in DOP works like a charm with these settings on a weak machine (Intel Atom D525, 4Gb). With Windows 7, the buffering time should be increased to avoid pops and clicks.
  5. For the Hugo, Rob Watts gave this informations : http://www.head-fi.org/t/702787/chord-hugo/9810#post_11371156 For larger taps, he explained that a re-design was required to get large number of DSP cores in parallel to decrease the latency due to digital signal processing. It is probable that the Dave latency is lower than the latency of the Mojo for which it was written that the Mojo is not compatible with live application ?
  6. Yellowtec has to be inform about the issue of the last driver. With El Capitan Mac OS upgrade, I get some hiccups with the last Mac OS driver that I didn't have with Mavericks.
  7. I looked at the drivers on the download page of Yellowtec. The drivers are not those I installed on my computers. Mine are "YELLOWTEC__PUC2_WIN_2.9.78". May be you should try my version. It is possible that their drivers are faulty.
  8. Not, for me. I hear a sonic difference when I use a linear supply or battery for the PUC2 (vs 5V provided by the computer) but not between operating systems. Do you solve your problem ?
  9. I have 2 PUC2. For Windows: Windows 7(64 bits) Intel Atom D525, 4Gb, 64 Gb on SSD, J River MC 20, ASIO Puc2 Driver with last firmware Windows 8.1(64 bits) Intel I5, 8Gb, 128 Gb on SSD, J River MC 20, ASIO Puc2 Driver. Your PUC2 could be faulty ?
  10. When you plug for the first time the PUC2 did you install before the drivers provided by yellowtec ? PS: I use Jriver MC 20 on MacOS and Windows.
  11. With the Yellowtec driver's, I never had crashes on Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Mac OS Maverick. The ASIO drivers work fine (ASIO Puc2 or ASIO4all). Sometimes on weak PC, you may have to modify the settings of the Asio (increasing buffering). Did you upgrade the firmware of the PUC2 ?
  12. I bought MusicScope : powerful audio tools ! How to activate and start the VST plugin int the J River DSP-Studio ? The two files are copied in the two required directories. I can see them but can't select them (Manage Plug-Ins...>Add J River, VST or Winamp Plug In). SE : OS X 10.9.5 / J River MC 20 Many thanks.
  13. Agree. I prefer also the PUC 2 (I had before AP1+PP). I use the PUC 2 with a battery like this : http://www.amazon.co.uk/TeckNet®-External-Lightning-Sensation-Blackberry-black/dp/B000UH46YY I made a little adapter (3 resistors) to use it with the spdif input of my DAC.
