When you fellows refer to the Mac mini/m2 doing dsd 512 how are you outputting that to dac? If usb Is that dependant on dac being able to receive high enough rate pcm to carry the dop 512dsd signal?

And there it is k6davis, thanks for that. still a bit foggy on this though. For the sake of clarity I guess my question is can hqplayer OS run on a Mac mini m1. I have desktop running right now and I send signal direct to dac via a icron USB ranger (fibre media converter) so no naa in my case. As well I am not using roon anymore just strait HQPlayer and the HQPlayer app for remote control. thanks

Hey Ted, I think I recall a recent run on the thread were you implemented hqplayer os/embedded and there was some how to directions outlined. was this done on your new Mac mini with the m1 chip? Or was it Mac laptop. Or am I way off on this?

Acopian makes really good linear power supplies. I saw them mentioned in the forums and thought I’d give them a try, found a 12v and 5v lps on eBay ( I believe for less than $100 each) and am currently using them. I’ve had the r core supplies from China, uptone lps1 and 2 and a js2 needless to say these have all been sold.

Hey all, installed trial version of hqplayer4 and when I go to set it up it won’t acknowledge my exasound ASIO drivers and I can only use core audio. Anybody have any ideas why? I’m running a Mac with an exasound e32 dac using hqplayer 3 with no issues but when I try hq4 I run into this problem.

I stupidly lent this to some to try, it came back to me smoked... not sure if it can be rescued. Basically a grab bag of parts here, singxer board with upgraded USB socket (orange) sparkos voltage regulator, set of black gate caps (nos from sonic craft and really expensive to get) set of os con caps and a few extras including short HDMI cable. $75 for everything.
