  1. I was trying to solve my "noise output" issue and I have performed a full flash as suggested by allo.com with a fresh v159 image. By looking to this thread, I have also forced USB 1.1 mode. Right now, I can stream music from Audirvana BUT as soon as I seek into the track, music stops. Audirvana is in limbo as dietpi web gui. DietPI becomes unresponsive. No way to get something back. I have to remove USBridge power cord and force stop Audirvana who is waiting for dietpi... It happens with or without resampling to native DAC spec. It does NOT happen with 16/44.1 tracks !? All these are playing flawlessly when Audirvana is hooked directly into the DAC. I am still with my USBrick Any advice, support? Thank you!
  2. Hi, I need some help with my newly acquired USBridge. Everything looks good, v158 performed, "usb audio" DAC detected as far I can see in the GUI. My target is to use GMRenderer with Audirvana. Audirvana detects "dietpi" bridge. I have have set the corresponding max bit depth and frequency for my DAC (Benchmark DAC1). When I try to play music, Audirvana seems to stream correctly (no time skipping,...) but the DAC1 blinks its LEDs and then lights off. Not a single blip of music. "usb audio" still looks like connected in the GUI. The DAC1 usb interface is working with my laptop and I had a successful trial of Volumio on a RPi few months ago. I have tried the USBridge on another DAC, Aune T1. This one is less elaborated and when I play I got noise as output, nothing more. I also try to stream through Airplay from my iPhone. This renderer crashes instantly. I have restarted but it crashes as soon as hit play on my phone. Does someone have some advice for me to try especially for GMRenderer/Audrivana ? Right now I have USBrick... Regards.
  3. The other day, I have checked your website. It looks interesting project. I also find the link to the Opus DAC. I do not have any knowledge to allow me to look at DIY, even with pre-assembled module. It is a shame because I think projects like the ones drive by something like Twisted Pear under the look of a community could lead to a more objective approach without marketing or need to buzz around something. Still, there are surely good commercial products (in each price range). About jitter improvement, this is a domain where for someone like me, without knowledge, you can read and understand everything. Sometimes upsampling do the thing, sometimes you read it is just marketing and not the amount of improvement promise,..., not the right way to do..., no need to worry,... I am lost. Maybe, I should not worry too much as I am looking to modest devices. But I think some cheap DAC are more empty box than others. I am just trying to find a full one...
  4. Thank you for your answer. This makes sense to me. Still, would the additional jitter be more harmful than the possible improvement in the design of other (cheap) DAC and particularly the output stage of MF V-DAC, DACMagic, Beresford,...? I wish I could be buy a Linn Sneaky DS (= good DAC on UPnP stream) but the price, the software ergonomics and functionality (+rather not Mac OS compatible), discourage me at the moment.
  5. Hello, I would like to know what cheap DAC (100$-300$) you suggest for a digital source as an Apple TV or an Airport Express? These are low-end and not low-jitter devices for the little I know. I have already read here, in the forum, recommandation about Valab DAC but with the warning that a low-jitter source is required. Which DAC would you recommend? Thanks, John.
