hello guys and merry christmas to you all and thanks in advance for your answers.I will start with answering first to blownsi in regard with how deep my pockets are.Unfortunately are pretty swallow i can't afford to change equipment every month or even every year i want to buy something to last if it is possible forever(i know this can't happen) or at least for a long long time.I bought my receiver and speakers almost 7 months ago and my turntable 4 months so you see it's almost new to start changing parts.But if you have any proposal for better speakers as long as i won't have to change my receiver for now at least i am all ears.Αs for the ifi idsd nano/micro that devices never came to my attention but now that livelistenlearn mentioned them i will give them a listen because i read positive comments for both before i write this thread and they have very reasonable price tags.And last is hqplayer better than foobar?Thanks again guys and i am looking forward for your answers.

Good evening Hifidelit and merry christmas to you.Your answer is not what i was expecting for but it is not wrong i have read and heard many times that all the parts of a stereo must be of the same price range so as to have a balance system because there is the possibility not to hear what you expect and because it will be an extravagance as you mentioned one piece to be more expensive than all the others together.But my purpose is to have something to be future proof and the dacs i mentioned i believe they are.If i do what you propose and change the speakers i will have to change the receiver too am i wrong?and i do not believe that it will be worth to buy something bigger(for now at least) in a 15 square meter room.As for the second part of your answer i will contact a seller here in athens greece where i live who brings both mytek and m2tech and ask him if he can bring both to hear them.For the concero i must e-mail the company in canada or their reseller in italy to send me one if they can and then send it back.It is big problem that's why it is my last option.I want to hear your opinion and i want to thank you for your answer.

Hi guys i am a new member of computer audiophile site and of the audiophile community in general eventhough i often read articles in the site but it is the first time i write because i want to ask something.i am about to replace my asus xonar d2 for an external dac,i have the card connected to my av receiver (pioneer vsx-923).I am between 3 very good dsd dacs (as far as i have read in many sites) these are: m2tech young dsd,the mytek stereo 192 dsd dac and the concero hd. Unfortunately i can hear neither of the three so i am depending on your opinions if anyone has hear them.I listen to all kinds of music (in flac form) but mostly rock all kinds,metal,jazz and soul.But i want to ask something so as to justify the title of my small article.Is this change worth?Will the sound difference be distinguisable to my ears?What should i expect as regards the sound?and finally is audiophile for small or big pockets(i hope you understand what i mean)?Thanks in advance and i hope not to stun you with my questions.I must not forget to tell that my speakers are the monitor audio bx2.
