    wtfplay

Thats why i dont use wtfplay anymore! Gapless playback would be possible with full Album load into Ram. Gapeless playback its one the to Do List for long Time now.....
  2. hi mark, i used a fully optimised server 2012r2 in core mode with c.a.d.skript,only few threads are running.then i made a 10gb fira ram disk to load the 2012r2 os into ram. 3gb for os, the rest for loading and play music out of ram. player was bughead.sq was great,i thought. some years back i bought a jlsounds dac, with no dsd256 in windows, only dsd 128 DoP,but full linux support so i tried linux Daphile. wow, what a sound! i never would go back to windows! i use also a gibabyte z97 g1 sniper, top board!
  3. i think it's a Dac-usb-driver Problem. can you Chance/increase the output-buffer of the Dac-driver? normally size is 2048,try 4096 maybe it helps?
  4. "2xHD" all the Jazz Albums i own are in DSD128! http://www.2xhd.com/

that makes no sense! when you start wtfplay it will be loaded into ram. you can remove the usb-stick with no Problem.
  7. hi only few dac have native DSD Support on Linux: https://github.com/lintweaker/xmos-native-dsd all other dac works only in DoP mode! shpongle
  8. i use foobar together with this: http://www.foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_discogs
  9. yes and 2 JLSounds Power supply boards too!
  10. hi i'm happy with this kit! http://jlsounds.com/combos.html very good Support! shpongle
  11. both use Ess sabre Chips no native DSD, DoP only! look for Dacs with AKM Chips : Native DSD Support Supports 2.8MHz (64fs), 5.6MHz (126fs) and 11.2MHz (256fs) DSD According to AKM, the volume control module and the delta-sigma modulator can be bypassed for DSD resulting in “direct” DSD rendering. The AK4490 contains an integrated low-pass filter specifically for DSD data. The ultimate specified performance for SACD (as described in the Scarlet Book) can be easily realized with a simple external analog filter. Notice the bypass path for DSD Data. The DSD data is received by the DSD interface and sent directly to the “SCF” (Switched Capacitor Filter) block. DSD filter can be selected at 50KHz, 100KHz or 150KHz cut-off. 12. try daphile! http://www.daphile.com/
  13. DSD native in Linux works only with linux-kernel Support. it must added manualy ,like here:https://github.com/lintweaker/xmos-native-dsd with no kernel Support, only dop is working! in your case the Limit is with pcm 352khz=dsd128.
