  1. Thank you for the reply. I didn't hear from anyone in a few days, and thought it's probably too basic a question for anyone to bother. : ) Noted both your points. I ended up getting a Rega Brio amp. Planning to add a cheap Logitech Bluetooth receiver to one of the inputs. As you mentioned, bluetooth is low fidelity so I didn't see a point getting something more costly with Aptx. It's more for watching Netflix movies from the laptop and saving one extra wire running from the comp to my amp. But happy to know the transmission won't degrade the signal quality of nearby audio gear.
  2. Can anyone comment whether bluetooth transmission from dac/amps like the NAD C338 will affect the SQ of my other hi fi components? Sorry if this sounds too basic. I'm not tech savvy and have no idea what kind of electronic signal Bluetooth is. Is it like EMF or others that might interfere with nearby components that aren't shielded from such 'rays'? I'm considering either the above or the Rotel A12 for casual streaming from my iPhone. It will be placed on a rack with the rest of my hi-fi gear. I assume the bluetooth module will always be on, just like my phones and laptops, so I hope that signal/emission doesn't degrade the SQ of other gear that I might be listening to.
  3. I'm late to the party. But from what I gather, first batch of 2.5 is sold out, orders are open for next batch. But I can't seem to find the link on the Sonore site. Let me guess, email Jesus?
  4. I turned plenty of rounds to change voltage. It's a good thing cuz any accidental brushes against the screw wouldn't cause any drastic differences.
  5. Got it. Which is the case for this PSU which has 4 rails. In fact 5 I think if I count the USB outlet.
  6. Appreciate the link. Let me read up. Don't suppose you have a quick answer as to what the 100W mean? In case you're wondering, I'm not deciding whether to buy. I already own two HDPlex 100W! Really loving them. Just trying to get educated about my gear. : )
  7. Is that so? Thanks for enlightening me. So what does the 100W actually mean? Please pardon my ignorance, I'm not electrically educated. But I'm learning quite a bit here on CA. Since I'm powering a 15V amp rated at 12W, does that mean the LPS is working at 12W too?
  8. Does anyone here know whether the HDPLex 100W always consumes 100W power regardless of the voltage it's putting out? Or does it consumes less if not all 4 rails are used or the devices aren't demanding high current and voltage. I'm using it for a 15V ifi iCAN SE headphone amp. The amp being Class A I would assume it's drawing the same current even in quiescent state when no music is playing. Itself being rated at 12W, I'm wondering if both amp and LPS consumes 112W at all times whether I'm playing music or not.
  9. Thanks Romaz. Very detailed impression indeed. Gave me a pretty good idea where the LPS 1 sits against other LPS out there.
  10. Hi Romaz, don't mind elaborating how the LPS-1 trounces the HDPlex. Can I expect to hear a more forward sounding signature with more air and details? Would you say it's a faster livelier SQ than the HDPlex which is usually described as smooth and relaxed?
  11. Guys like me will probably end up trying everything. Maybe I should get a couple more mR to go with the different PS instead of the other way around. Don't suppose you have a mR version 2 up your sleeve. I would certainly wait for that.
  12. And of course there's now the LPS 1 to give us more choices, or confusion, depending on our idea of what's fun.
  13. My HDPlex 100W mellowed down the SQ that I was getting from the ifi. More natural and realistic, which I like. I wouldn't say the ifi wasn't good though. The brighter SQ conveys a open sense of space that at times made me feel like everything's being played in a 'live' auditorium. Can be additive too. Gear wise, I'm running Tidal via Roon through a wireless core too.
  14. Anyone powering the mR with the SBooster BOTW 6V? Love to hear how it compares with the HDPlex 100W which I currently use but might switch to power my headamp instead.
  15. Anyone can comment on the Sbooster BOTW 6V? How does it compare with the HDPlex which I already got but might moved to power my headphone amp.
