  2. @baddog, Thanks for the clarification. It sounds like given how unpolished this Tidal subscription process currently is (no surprise) it might just be easier to have them sign me up as a new account. Not a big deal in my case, I was just curious if they had an official stance on existing Tidal subscribers. I've owned an Aries for a few months now but anytime I made changes (to my home network for example) and needed to re-configure its required borrowing iPads from others which is just a big pain (as others can probably attest to). I thought surely by the time I got the Aries Mini they'd have resolved the runtime issue with the Android app only to discover they completely ditched it, in favor of a web-based config interface which apparently has no scheduled release date? As a software developer I just find this lack of software support inexcusable. Hell even if they had a CLI I could access to configure things manually I'd be happy. Anyway, ranting over.. :-) I'll just continue to borrow iPads for the time being. @austinpop, do you know if when they do this does it append an extra year to your current subscription, or simply replace the remainder of your subscription period with 1 complete year?
  3. I apologize if these are repeat questions but in my searching I can't seem to find a direct answer so figured it would be best to just ask again: 1) Concerning the 1yr Free Tidal subscription, how is this handled if already have a subscription? Is this only valid for newly created accounts, or can an additional free year be appended to an existing account? If the latter, is there a time limit on when it can be applied? 2) Has there been any word on when the web-based config interface will be released? Really struggling here having to borrow iPads.. I am still shocked they can sell this product and have it REQUIRE an Ipad right now. Thanks!
  4. It turns out I need to keep the Linear PSU a while longer to power my other devices. Willing to entertain offers but otherwise looking to sell just the DAC for now. Feel free to PM me with any questions! New price for the DAC only: $1550 + actual shipping/fees (if applicable)
  5. Price drop: $1950 + actual shipping / fees (if applicable). Lowest recent sale price for the DAC that I could find, and you get a free matching $1000 LPSU along with it.
  6. For sale are a SOtM sDP-1000 DSD DAC and matching SOtM sPS-1000SE Linear Power Supply. The DAC was custom ordered in black from Sonore (it is usually only available in silver). The power supply is among the best and made a pronounced difference when paired with the DAC. It was also used to power a fanless PC and PPA USB card. I will include a custom cable for this and one provided by SOtM to attach to the DAC. The sDP-1000 has won many awards and is the best sounding DAC I've personally owned. Please see the 6Moons review here: 6moons audio reviews: SOtM sDP-1000 While there is much talk about the quality of the DAC, what really makes it stand above the competition IMHO is its performance as a preamp. It was so good that I initially went direct to amp and sold my Ayre K-5xe MP preamp. Condition of both the DAC and PS are excellent, I'd say 9/10. The DAC still even has the protective cover on the front OLED screen. Firmware on the DAC has been updated to the latest version. Asking $2200 Shipped for the pair (MSRP: $3900) Please add 3% if using PayPal (unless using friends & family method). For additional feedback please see ebay: babytopper or audiogon: jsjenkins168 Any questions feel free to ask!
