  1. That is not what I was told by Bluebird. I was told that there was no warranty and they contacted The Service Department to tell them I had to pay for the repair. This is for an issue that was already identified for this product. I have what I stated from Bluebird in writing so anyone who has a question can PM me and I will send it to them. I am not posting that on a public forum. I knew I had to send it back to be checked. If I had thrown it off a wall then there would be no warranty. I have the Chord wires, I wanted to upgrade. The USB wire I have is a considerable upgrade.
  2. In this day and age 99% of all communication is email or text. Call a company and you get a machine.
  3. Correct I always dealt with the manufacturer on warranty issues, never the dealer.
  4. I did not tell the dealer and had no reason too. Raidho D2 was the purchase. As for phone call. I did not have international calling on my cell phone plan. I did attempt to call and could not get through. That sounds lame and I admit it is. I just should have upgraded the service for a month, but the shit hit the fan so quickly. Chord said they usually do not respond to emails, they forward the messages to the local distributer. The distributer then did nothing.
  5. I was directed to the local dealer .... was willing to deal with this all myself. Local dealer not only did not help he also cost himself a very large sale. I am purchasing new speakers which he is a dealer for. Was going to give him the consideration of matching the deal I received. Now he can suck wind....48,000.00 purchase completed this morning.
  6. Dealer wanted me to spend another 2495.00 USD to buy a new one. He was a complete a**888e. PM me so I can tell you who he is and to stay away from his store.
  7. It just so happens I have been contacted and they are going to warranty the product now. Will keep everyone up to date on what happens next. The product is excellent and I do have the one with the wider openings, but not the one that has the updated HD USB solder. Cable I was using was the Silver Dragon Micro USB from Moon Audio. Steve at The Service Department will be handling the warranty repair, amazing customer service on his end.
  8. Can you direct me to this thread, I have tried to find the folks with the problem and cannot. thanks, Marc
  9. I have emailed them several times and sent a message on their facebook page. No responce. Bluebird sent me to my local dealer who refused to help, since he did not sell it to me. Then proceeded to tell me that he would sell me a new one.
  10. $2500 Hugo 5 Months old. Will not warranty for shoddy manufacturing. Run away from this product. USB ports break off the board, no cable will fit in the Toslink and Coax port. BlueBird Music Distributes Chord and many other high end items. Before buying make sure you check out their site and stay away from any product on it. marc
  11. I would be very careful using the HD USB Cable. The product is actually a tremendous overpriced piece of garbage. My HD USB port completely broke off the board. Chord and Bluebird Music the are refusing to warranty. So I have ended up with a 2500.00 book end. Just and FYI I used silver dragon cables from Moon Audio. If you need any cables give me a shout, but if I was you I would be looking to sell the unit while it is still in one piece. As a side note I spoke to the repair site and they stated that the port breaks all the time and now Chord is trying to blame the consumer. Run away from this product.
