  1. Got my FedEx tracking notice last Thursday. Received in Australia on Monday morning! As impressed as I was with FedEx's performance I am way more impressed by the improvement in SQ the EtherRegen has made to my ROON Rock NUC PSAudio DirectStream DAC system after only 1 hour of warmup. At this stage, the improvement is most noticeable in soundstage and imaging. kelvinwsy nails it in his posts above. Very happy! Thanks to all concerned
  2. Hello all, Most of the discussion about the benefits of a linear PSU tend to focus on the USB output - for connection to a USB DAC. Is there any audio quality benefit in going this route for a network server, or would I be wasting money? In particular I'm talking an Intel NUC running Roon Server connected to a PSAudio DirectStream DAC with Bridge II. Both will be connected to a dedicated switch and the ethernet connection between switch and DAC will be galvanically isolated by a GISO LAN isolator. Thanks!
  3. According to the PS Audio web site, the PWT will output digital via SPDIF and AESEBU as well as I2S over HDMI. I understand the transport buffers data to on-board RAM before being streeamed to the outputs thus reducing jitter. This seems to be the approach taken by the open source memory player cMP http://imageevent.com/cics The PS Audio implementation should be better as it's NOT an off-the-shelf computer. eg. Low-noise linear PS as opposed to switching PS etc... I think unit certainly bears further investigation. I wonder if a careful listener would notice an improvement with this thing driving a Berkely DAC as opposed to a computer?? hint.. Cheers! Mark
