To clarify, the meridian explorer does not work as a USB to Toslink converter for 24/192 regardless of what is written in this article. The maximum it will output via toslink is 24/96.

I have just purchased a meridian explorer, i have the latest firmware, my problem is that i can't seem to output 24/192 via toslink. All three lights are on. My cambridge audio 840c reads 24/96 as the the input from the meridian explorer. I am trying to use the meridian explorer as a USB to toslink 24/192 converter. Meridian documentation states 96 is the maximum for the toslink output. I made the assumption that i could output 24/192 via toslink after reading this review, can someone please verify the maximum toslink output rate. Thanks in advance.
