  1. Great idea. Is a feature that is not so hard to add now that multitagging/rename works. The only thing missing is indeed folder support (and a few obscure tags) I will try to add this next weekend.
  2. Test version online for MacOS. Changes: Basic Dff support Multi tagging dialog now saves more tags (including lyrics and picture) Trim audio More available @ Changelog Feedback and ideas welcome
  3. Hi, If the cd that you rip contains cd-text then it is possible. Even if the cd contains no cd-text it can be possible using the freedb local file. Ofcourse, cd's produced after the creation of the freedb local file will not be recognized, so you will need to update the file from time to time. I have had the idea of adding this option to my application, but never really had the need for it. My idea was to make an ARM box to read music from the NAS, but also rip CDs to the NAS. 4. @kumakuma & @blownsi: I am not surprised by your replies. A test (don't recall the firm) from a very large datacenter pointed out that the WD Red is the most reliable NAS drive, but fails more often in the first year than other brands. After one year however, the drive hardly fails, where other brands become less reliable. Greetz, Zittergie
  5. To clear some things up: 1. If you use the NAS to host the files, the sound quality will be the same for all NAS. It is the player (software and hardware) that fetches the file that can influence the sound quality. This is the way i use my NAS. You do not stream audio, but you read Data over the network. 2. If you use the built in streaming (like DLNA), a difference is possible, because the stream is giving between the DLNA server and DLNA client. This does not always work as it should and sometimes formats get transcoded on the fly to a less demanding stream. I would say, stay away from DLNA streaming, but go for option 1 where you can use your NAS just like you use an external HDD. Greetz, Zittergie
  6. Hi, I am the developer of XiXMusicPlayer, and replies, request and tips are always welcome. I am doing this in my freetime, so I can not make any promises about features that will get added and timeframes. I am currently working on: DSD support (dff and wav) Ripping CD in one file and creating/editing the CUE file Better tagging support See Changelog for up-to-date changes Multiple file tagging and renaming already works for MP3 and FLAC, but without image support for now. Windows support is on hold, because I have no windows to test. Greetz, Zittergie
