I own an Auralic Vega and it was a big step coming from aries femto->mutec usb reclocker->amr dp-777. It was well worth the switch (better definition, more air, enfin a step up the ladder). I am also surprised there is not so much media coveridge about this absolutely outstanding product.

I have my dp-777 special edition sent to AMR because of ticks en plops. They have switched the main board and I hope my problems will be over. Half August I wil be returned from holidays and hope my machine will function again...

For some reason playing audiofiles from my NAS to a Auralic Aries and a Mutec MC3+ to my AMR DP-777es sounding better than playing MQA from Tidal. Both with help of an Apple Ipad. I can't quite explain that difference, but besides this inferior result I agree with you that MQA seems to go the same way as SACD, DSD or DVDaudio....

Bpinon, It seems OK now when I select the artist icon. I have started to use sortArtist in minimserver for correct ordening. When I choose the folder icon (last icon) I get the (mine) correct order when I choose artist except there is always a complaint (in minimserver log) about an "incorrect format for container ID"

When I received the SE I was told there would be plans for an update to DSD in 2016. Any news about that? Any new at all about the SE or AMR, I like to know, because the brand is not showing anywhere in Holland...

I like the app, but it misreads the outcome of MinimServer in a strange way: it seems to sort on the Artist field, but displaying the Album Artist field, but not always (Meola, Al Di under A but followed by Albarn, Damon, DiFranco, Ani is followed by Apple, Fiona) so scrolling through the list is a bit weird. Any ideas? Sorting in Lightning DS with MinimServer is correct.

Steven, I had a simular problem as the representation for AMR in Holland ended. I contacted AMR who told me about AV Class, located in Breda, Holland. According to their site they are doing business in Europe, where Scotland is still part of, I hope. I could trade in my DP-777 for a dp-777se at a reasonable price. Maybe you can contact them by email (which I did) because they are not much of a shop, more Internet business. I had contact with Thomas, who told me he had more se’s. The internet site can be found at AVCLASS - Engineering, Audiovisual system design, Technical service, Products update hi-fi and home cinema online store at competitive prices. I have my dp-777se connected to the pre-amplifier. Still considering to make the connection directly to the power amp but I am still burning in; have not reached 200 hours.

Liam, I use iPurifier (1) with the dp-777 se, but I am not sure what the precise effect is: better or worse? On the other hand, as the se has not run 100 hours, it is maybe too soon to tell...
