I have the same issue since Oct 2014, maybe due to iTunes 12 (?), but I suspect a fundamental problem in the iTunes repository ... The famous recording by Abbado, Lucerne Festival Orchestra of Mahler 2nd Symphony has this issue (at least for me). One can very quickly verify even in the preview of iTunes: in track 5 it sounds like the strings play tremolo, which they don't. I ended up mailing back and forth with iTunes support, got my money restored, and purchased it in mint condition through Google Play. It sounds perfect not only there, but also when I load it in iTunes, so cannot be due to playback issues on my side. Now today had the same bad experience with an older Brahms 2 (Abbado, BPO) recording in iTunes. This must have been there for ages. Thanks for any comments.
