Hello, I have got many SACD Iso's from a friend, which I converted to .dsf. What will be the best player now to hear those files, any recommendations please would be welcome. Also please could you tell me why you use a player and not the other.....

Hi Barry, thanks for answering, I have compared the two and I guess I rank .aif as the better one (also it seems to me that .wav is the best but here no metadata so a no-go for me). Software for me is between Amarra and Pure Music. Sometimes I prefer A than PM. It depends on the music and on my daily feeling. The only thing I don't like about Amarra is when I use it in playlist mode with .aif files the metadata don't work (.flac works perfectly in this mode). All the best, Erich

Barry - have you ever compared a lossless .aif file with a NOT compressed .flac file? Both files have the same size and as I am understanding it only the container where the music is packed are different? And which player software do you use for DSD files?
