  1. Really? I can see the clock frequency goes very high, (Both PCM to 768kHz and DSD to 11.2MHz) but not the sampling frequency?
  2. The DAC in my amplifier (Denon PMA-1600NE) is based around the Texas Instruments PCM1795 chip that is a 32bit/192kHz DAC capable according to Texas Instruments spec sheet. So how is it that it accepts 32bit/384kHz signals? It is also listed as being able to accept DSD at 2.6MHz, yet in this amplifier it accepts DSD at up to 11.sMHz. So firstly how is this possible given the chips spec, and what is the point? What am I missing here?
  3. Has no one noticed the changes Sony seems to have made to this machine? If you look at Sony web sites globally, they now state that it will handle 250,000 tracks! The smaller HAP-S1 now takes 25,000. This is great news! "With a huge 1TB built-in hard drive, have all your music in one place and store up to 250,000 music files"
  4. Sweet! I really hope they take notice, but I am not holding my breath....I think they are selling too many of the current model to be bothered, so people, stop buying it and complain about the limitations instead! ;-)
  5. You most definitely have my permission! I use Photoshop, daily......
  6. You got me! Not trying to yank anyone's chain, just hoping to make Sony take notice as this is what they should build. The unit is exactly what I want to buy, except it will not handle my 67,000 music files in either database or hard drive capacity. The digital out will satisfy many users regardless of how good the internal DAC sounds according to all reports. I have a Grace m905 that sounds amazing and I doubt the Sony sounds as good as the Grace, so yeah, the digital out suits me too. Anyway, fun is over, lets hope Sony release the V2 soon, as I am sure it will be without a doubt the best selling unit of it's kind. GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT SONY!
  7. 2 x 2TB, second is mounted behind the front panel as on the Z1.
  8. This should triple sales for Sony.
