  1. Many thanks....I'll try downloading a demo, but from what you are saying, I shouldn't be able to hear anything different...
  2. Forgive my ignorance guys, but can you answer my query... I currently play through iTunes > Airport Express (wirelessly) > conventional Sony amp powered hi-fi setup. Would a purchase of Audirvana be worth my pennies...??? Will it really make a difference...?? I know there is a trial available but I just wanted some insight from you Gurus before I went any further... Ta.
  3. Cheers....XLD downloaded...will give it a try, but I can't see an option to create a Flac fingerprint file.....
  4. Does anyone know of a decent piece of software which I could use to convert my rather large collection of ROIO CD's into FLAC on OSX Yosemite...??? Ideally I would like to rip the disc directly to FLAC and create an FFP or MD5 file at the same time... I'm a fairly new convert to Apple, hence the query...
  5. Cheers audio Elf... Seems crazy that BT aren't able to help their customers though...I also tried to get a new Router out of them but no deal...:-)
  6. Well.... Spent 30 minutes on the phone to a BT "Guru" from India (their bill, not mine!) who couldn't assist... Finally trawled numerous forums and discovered I had to: 1. Change my BT Router from WEP to WPA 2. place a "#" at the start of the setup password for my Airport Express...!!!! Now I can fire my music onto my audio equipment 15 feet away and still surf the 'net... Happy Teddy Bear...:-)
  7. John, Thanks for the reply...wife's laptop still accesses the internet via the BT router...it's just an issue with my Mac.... I can stream audio from the Mini to my Airport Express but can't access internet at the same time...
  8. Hi folks... My Mac Mini connects to the 'net wirelessly through a BT router...no problems, no issues... It shows as BTHomeHub-225 in the Wireless settings... I now have a brand spanking new Airport Express, which I had hoped would connect to my audio system and stream iTunes to it... It does...using an entirely different named network... But.... When streaming music, I lose my internet connection...and I have to reset my internet router...:-( Should the AirportExpress be hard wired into my router...?
