  2. I purchased the licence months ago, dont understand why the fingerprint changed! Just because I connected differently to a switch? Hardware didnt change! I am not amused if everytime I try something I have to request a new key!!!
  3. Hi, have a licence for HQPlayer embedded. Now it returned to a trial version! Didnt change the hardware, only changed the way I connected to the server (used a switch) How can I get the new key? and when? would like to hear music today without interripuptions! cheers Sigi
  4. Hi Jussi, am trying to use Muso on a second WinPC connected trough LAN to HQPlayer embedded . Everything seems fine Muse sees HQPlayer and also the music files mounted under audiolinux in /media/samba/music. In Muso I have to give also the root file as seen by windows of the music files. In windows it is shown as Music (\\Audiolinux) (M:) When I try to start a file HQPlayer doesn’t play, and I get the following error in the log file: It connects to the laptop with IP: 192.168.2.30 , HQPlayer has IP: 192.16.2.27 + 2019/07/20 15:54:51 Control connection from 192.168.2.30:51025 + 2019/07/20 15:54:51 Control started from 192.168.2.30:51025 & 2019/07/20 15:57:18 Playlist add URI: //AUDIOLINUX/Music/Ulf/Various Artists/A Putumayo Blend; Music of the Coffee Lands/01 Julian Avalos - Guajira Bonita.flac # 2019/07/20 15:57:18 clPlaylist::AddURI("//AUDIOLINUX/Music/Ulf/Various Artists/A Putumayo Blend; Music of the Coffee Lands/01 Julian Avalos - Guajira Bonita.flac"): clStreamReaderFile::clStreamReaderFile(): clFileIO::Open(): open(): No such file or directory 2019/07/20 15:57:30 asoundlib version: 1.1.9 2019/07/20 15:57:30 Network Audio IPv6 support disabled 2019/07/20 15:57:30 Discovery from 0.0.0.0 - 2019/07/20 15:57:31 Network engine stopping. Any idea how to solve it? Cheers Sigi
  5. Hi Jussi, I have been informed that Muso ( windows program) can be configured in a way that it can be used as music file control for HQPlayer in a Linux environment . One uses a small Win PC for that. HQPlayer with audiolinux is connected to the DAC. Muso is advised to connect through LAN to the IP of Audiolinux. They told me that this works without problems with HQPlayer desktop. One has to activate the network in HQPlayer by means of the icon on the top right site of the toolbar. Now to my question: I have HQPlayer embedded on audiolinux, is there an equivalent icon that I can use? Will it be possible to do the same with the embedded HQ? Or will I need the desktop version cheers Sigi
  6. Hi Jussi, am using audiolinux with the new merging AlSA driver. The former bug has gone, one can play more than 1 file and continue with others from other cds without starting HQPlayer again. But have a problem: can only play files with 44,1 sample rate without distortion. As soon that I increase the SR, I get dropouts, crackling noises similar to frying eggs! This is not strongly correlated to the filters I use. Some are even not working! Question: One can select 1Filter and NFilter and shaper. From windows I was accustomed to use in PCM only one filter, what is the meaning of 2 filters. In win 10 and also win2012 R2 I have no distortions even up to 384 Khz in PCM with the same PC. Can tou help? cheers Sigi

    HQ Player

Ok, I will not discuss with you about this topic. Every one has his preferences! I prefer cover albums for orientation! Jussi, everything ok. If you didn’t use Muso I would recommend to try it and you will see what I meant! cheers Sigi

And you can mark your favoured files with stars from 1-5 and only play those of your preference!

Am sorry that I don’t agree with you! I know many users prefer the album covers because they can better link the cover with the music they have heard in the past. An alphabetic list of thousand cd titles is not very easy to follow. This I agree is also a personal view. That is the main reason why I prefer Muso. And you can select by date of upload, genre, etc on the fly. And you easily also can make and store playlists by selecting the a specific file from a selected album cover .

Well, perhaps it is a very personal feeling. It looks clearer in my opinion if it only appears in the play view and the album view only shows those that can be selected.

Is it possible to hide the album cover of the play view who appears behind the album covers of the album views? in the HQPlayer client?

    HQ Player

Hi Jussi, it was the graphic driver that the client didn’t work. All perfect now! I think one feature in the client would be very convenient. 1. Assign a value to a cd or a music file with by example Stars: from 1 to 5?. 2. Selection of cd according to the genre 3.What also would be helpful in the Desktop is the possibility to change the room correction filters after a stop if not online. I like the client ! If feature 1 and 2 can be implemented there is no other additional program necessary to deal with the library! cheers Sigi

Sorry, on a second PC with win2012 R2 it works!

Hi Jussi, after fooling around for some time I discovered that the client works well in win 10! Is there a way to make it work in win 2012R2? Thanks in advance for your help cheers Sigi

Can somebody help me with the client feature of version 4? 1. Will I have to install loopback feature? 2. Or Hyper V? 3. If so, how can I start the client?
