cebolla@: trying to reconcile this with the comment earlier in this thread about using Asset uPnP for this purpose. Looks like they both support "capture"... is there a reason you recommended Asset in one situation and SWYH in another? FWIW, all things being equal, I'd be happy to support the illustrate guys as dbpower amp was my primary tool for constructing my CD library and I was quite happy with the results!

I know tho s is an old thread by I've been looking at the 105d and this comment strikes at the heart of what I was looking for. Been looking at an external dac but would ideally procure one that also acts as a streamer so I dont need to crank up the HTPC if I dont want to. The fact that it s also a transport means I could reclaim a shelf in my cabinet. If I dont care about dsd... is it still the case that I'd be setting myself up for frustration? In the end ease of use is very important for the wife and kid (which is one reason I'm trying to sidestep the htpc)
