  1. I love AQ carbon price for quality sound benefits
  2. I agree with you ! Carbon is excellent. Diamond a little step. In my system WW Platinum 7 is a great choice too, but keep using Diamond (USB cables)
  3. I test AQ diamond vs Curious Evolved vs WW platinum 7 usb cables. Curious very impressive in begin. WW is my predilete, but AQ is a natural sound. Them continue AQ Diamond in my setup. I had a choice would be a Wireworld.
  4. For me AQ jitterbug works! Have a same USB cable, the Diamond. Where? In kick drums. Without occours smudged edges, like a recent pen stroke on paper and then dragging the finger causing a blur With Jitterbug this blur disapear The song this effect appear more distinct is "From dusk to dawn" by George Duke
  5. @Yoram Diamand I tested the SMS-200 and I didn't like it, in fact, it was below the optimized PC with AO 3.00, Windows server 2019 Core and Jplay. Other models SOtM SMS never heard.
  6. I sold ISO-REGEN to capitalize for twenty upgrade. QB-9 DSD with uptone device: More defined, unobstructed sound with a slight loss in naturalness, one more step of fatigue. My DAC with it I preferred the "Measure" setting, no doubt. Now without uptone's I must test on "listen" again. Removing ISO-REGEN obscures the sound with less separation but a little more natural. This all in "Measure" mode.
  7. Hello everybody, I read 10 pages comments/posts directly from Brazil, tks for testimonials. PS: sorry errors language. In Ayre contact and restored normality restored (or almost) must send in next days my QB-9 DSD to update twenty. I have two jitterbugs and a ISO-REGEN. Just in-out plug ISO-REGEN I hear a little difference sound: Without ISO-REGEN the sound is more natural (one step only). With him is one step more clarity and precise. Then I repeat tests after twenty arriving. In Brazil I believe not exists twenty's units. It's very expensive with aeroports tax, customs importation and another local taxes. I estimate around $2900 all in the end. Then I hope this journey be a success.
  8. I have the MK II and the Pure Reference: they are very different. Pure here did not work on the data SSD. System has lost its naturalness. Pure made everything more digital and fatigue more remarkable. Leaves the sound airier, more open. for me, it's past the point. MK II in the data worked very well
  9. Using now mk2 in SO ssd and pure reference in library ssd. Cold sound, middle and treble very agressive, gain in transparency and clarity but decrease in naturality and warm.
  10. I received a few hours ago a pure reference. Burning and artificial highs in this beginning of adaptation. This pure reference is much more hard to bend. Medium difficult install. Waiting burn in now
  11. In OS SSD nothing SQ changes with MK II, but in music library works so good ! After Pure Reference many configurations possibles. Job find best SQ. I believe is pure reference in music SSD and MK II in OS SSD, but every changes in some days when a test occours.
  12. Found it a "pure reference" with a good price. Now is wait and compare with MK II.
  13. My question is simple: if ever in the past was there a sata pachanko reference cable that looks the same as the current MK II?
  14. A friend have a old model pachanko Sata, called "reference". He told me it is equal appearance MK II. Any know history old portifolio pachanko confirm this? Or was a unique model called "reference" in the past? Tks.
  15. First contact with "audiophile" SATA cable: Far from skepticism but to some degree suspicious since famous manufacturers do not have the accessory in their portfolios ... see Audioquest, Nordost and Siltech. Then came opportunity for me to buy at "reasonable" cost, the pachanko Sata MK II. The Considerations: - In SSD OS could not identify any changes; - In the library SSD I noticed the following: At first I thought the cable had made the sound brighter. But with very careful listening I realized that it brings more general clarity making the sound brighter and less intimate. It's not like taking off a blanket but maybe two sheets on the front of the speakers. The stage also grows aiding in the perception of subtle sounds. I liked the result. Think, one day update to Reference SATA Pachanko. Any compare this?
