BBC radio3 sometimes amazes me with the quality of classical music played, not always though. I listen on a vhf fm tuner Denon TU-260l and quad 34/405 amp and wharfedale 159 speakers. I find often the seperation and presence ( not sure if these are the right names ) realy excellent. What I want to know is this a true sense or are there ways to fiddle this. I havent tried db Poweramp as I think its not free so I probably will stick to eac or cueripper if there is not much between them. It gets a bit too complex for me but thanks for the replies thyristor44

When I first installed eac it ran a test on my cd reader.

Hello I have always used eac to rip cds to flac but recently tried cueripper and wondered which one gives the most accurate rips. cueripper seems to find older classical cds much better but is it as good as eac. Thanks thyristor44

Core32 you seem to understand daphiles plugins so here goes if you dont mind. Is there anyway to record the stream I am listening to with daphile. Like I would like to record bbc radio 3 concerts. Thanks

I did as you advised but spotify is only available on daphile if I have a subscription to spotify. I will have to do with spotify free on the notebook at the moment. Thanks anyway

How do I put it on. Is in plugins, I can see spotify is there but is provided by logitec and I dont have a subscription to them so have always kept away from them. Thanks

That did the trick, deleting the m3u. I typed h**p as I didnt know if I was allowed to put on links. Daphile is a linux music server working for me on a thin client feeding a dac. Daphile is a linux music server program and os I have running on a thin client. Thanks for your help. thyristor44
