  1. Hi everyone, I'm glad I've stumbled across such a great looking forum, and I hope to get more involved. I hope this is the right sub-forum to post such a question in. The Scenario: I have an NAD amp with an MDC DAC installed, and I currently use foobar2000 for playing audio. In the past I have been operating in WASAPI exclusive mode, and when foobar2000 is playing, all other audio on the system is disabled, which I understand is supposed to happen. I recently discovered that the DAC's driver has ASIO support, so I have switched to using the ASIO output module. This has been functioning well. The Question: I now notice that when playing audio in foobar2000 through ASIO, other system sounds are no longer disabled. Does the DAC somehow receive ASIO signals and DirectSound signals at the same time, or is my configuration terribly messed up? (I have read up on configuring ASIO in foobar2000, and everything seems to be in order.) I would be very grateful of any advice. Cheers.
