  1. The disc tray wouldn't open on my Oppo-105D using two different USB sticks. It finally worked on the third stick. This is great! Thank you.
  2. The difference between 24/96 and 24/192 is not bit depth it's bit rate. Just saying so Damien doesn't end up giving you something like the difference between 16/44.1 and 24/44.1
  3. That worked for me. Version 2.x would crash on launch with version 1.5.10 installed. Now I can run either with both versions installed. Thanks Damien!
  4. Do you have an iPhone or other iOS device that you took to those locations? iCloud. I notice that my iMac knows all the wifi networks my iPhone has ever connected to.
  5. Yeah let's end this discussion here. I was just wondering what Damien's logic was behind this. If max sample rate conversion is the reason then that's my answer. I can just keep my settings.
  6. I was just questioning the math thats all. It seems messy to me to engage a sample rate clock from another sample rate family for for rates that wind up to be very close indeed.
  7. I have to disagree with that logic. 88.2 is divisible evenly into 176.4. 96 does not. No one can convince me that they can hear the difference between 88.2 and 96.
  8. If I choose none for forced upsampling then the downsampling goes from 176.4 to 96, the default setting, and my DAC is at 96. I have to choose custom with my corrected settings for those two sample rates to get my DAC to run at 88.2 from a 176.4 file. Dragonfly 1.2 by the way. Edit: I am not trying to upsample anything. It's the only way to get those two sample rates to downsample to a 96kHz DAC correctly.
  9. Speaking of upsampling. I leave forced up sampling set to none. My DAC goes to 96kHz but I noticed a 176.4kHz file was downcoverting to 96 when it should be downconverting it to 88.2. So I went in to check the custom forced upsampling settings and found that in Edit Custom Settings 176.4 was set to 96 and also 352.8 was set to 96. Those settings are wrong. They should be set to 88.2. I changed them and now in forced upsampling I have to chose custom instead of none. Is there a reason for this?
  10. You mean the endlessly buggy Amarra? I haven't heard HQPlayer but I can speak for Amarra and I tell you that they have some secret sauce going on that colors the sound. But if thats your thing then great you won't see me trying to shove Audirvana down your throat. Lets not forget how stable Audirvana 1.x is. I have no doubt that 2.x will get there too.
  11. I'm having trouble loading my library. Sometimes it just stops sycing. It will show my folders synced but they are not. Other attempts I was successful but then certain elements of the UI stops working, such as preferences window won't load and in album view the album playlist window won't load or I just can't play anything. When I restart Audirvana it just crashes. I have to delete the app and library db files to start over.
  12. Ok so I should back those up in case a restore might actually work this time. I really hate building the 1.5.10 playlist up again, not ready to let that go yet because I'm pretty sure it sounds better than 2.x. I bought version 2 now because I have no doubt that Damien will continue work on SQ and I want to support him.
  13. Thanks Jud. Do you know what the .m3u files in my music folder are? The reason I ask is because I saved the playlist once and when I restored it I had a real mess on my hands. Half the music didn't show up in the playlist window and I had crazy amounts of duplicate songs. So that feature didn't work for me.
  14. Are the .m3u the database files that I stated before? Or are they the AudirvanaPlusLibrary.sqlite, AudirvanaPlusLibrary.sqlite-shm, AudirvanaPlusLibrary.sqlite-wal, and playlistAutosaved.plist found in ~Library/Application Support/Audirvana? You're telling me to they might be in Music and what I assume you to mean to be in ~/Library/Application Support. I've got files in both those locations. Please forgive me for being overly cautious. I don't want to lose 1.5.10 for any reason because I don't have a backup of it. Ideally I'd like to have both versions without having to lose my 1.5.10 playlist if that's possible. I had to build it by hand, dragging and dropping. Damien, a little help please.
  15. I just purchased the upgrade license. What do I have to do to get 1.5.10 and version 2.x to run on the same computer? Do I have to delete Audirvana.m3u, Audirvana2.m3u, and Audirvana921.m3u in my Music folder? I also have all.m3u there. Is that part of it or something else? Right now version 2 crashes upon startup.
