  1. Certain reviews online mentioned that the 308's should be at least 6 inches from the wall so I think I should be ok.
  2. The speakers will be about 6 inches away from the wall and my office is about 200 square feet.
  3. I guess I can EQ the mid bass on the 308's and I'd rather have more bass than not enough. I'm leaning towards the 308's but I'm wondering if the Mackie MR8's are worth the extra $25....
  4. So the lsr305's are better overall sonically and recommended over the 308's as long as I'm willing to purchase a sub?
  5. Thanks for that reply! How come you have both the 305's and 308's? Is the upper midrange that much better than the 308's or are we talking slight differences? Have you heard the Mackie MR8's?
  6. I was thinking about purchasing a pair of speakers. I'm stuck between the JBL LSR305's, JBL LSR308's, KRK Rokit 6 G3's or the Mackie MR8 MK3's. Which pair of speakers would provide great highs and mids while still being able to pump out some nice bass? I know that a sub is still needed but for now, I would like the best studio monitors for under $400. I plan on connecting these bad boys to my gaming PC. I like listening to a wide variety of music including rap, oldies, r&b, alternative and some rock. I also game a lot and watch a ton of movies. Thoughts please?
