  1. They absolutely do hurt sales. But think of the profits that could come from merchandise, concerts, and everything else surrounding the culture of a fantastic artist that may not of received the fame and fanbase without free and open sharing. In a way our culture has adapted to this by providing free non-piracy on-demand alternatives such as spotify and grooveshark. Or even youtube for music videos.. Which are all accessible by using a computer. You get a good setup and convenient operation of media features, and you're set.
  2. I mean you'll always see cd drives on the market just as we still see vinyl players as well. It just won't be apart of mainstream consumerism.
  3. Regardless of technical specifications or which format is better, our market and culture is what really determines "the future" of a product or idea. I'm sure we can think of plenty of cables, audio formats, and other technologies that are far superior than what is commonly used as a regular consumer. Now a variety of factors come into play that decides the future of new technologies and how it will be applied. With HDMI in particular, it seems that the market has rapidly adapted to utilizing HDMI, and with current advancements it's a very solid technology as well. I predict that HDMI will remain a steadily used cabled communications technology for the next 10-15 years.
  4. So guys I wanted to ask, what are your thoughts on the Audio-Technica ATH-M50 headphones. In my opinion, they may be some of the best headphones that you can get for $150 let alone $300. Nonetheless, what do you guys think?
