  1. Thanks again for correct info. BTW, would you be interested in a link to some test DSD128 files? If you do, can I have your private email address so that I can send it to you personally. Mine is [email protected]
  2. My apologies. How I've missed this fact is uncler to me. Perhaps DSD support was introduced after the initial announcements and specs? Anyhow, that is what FAQ from the Pono side tells us: The PonoPlayer will play back audio files formatted in FLAC, ALAC, WAV (up to 32-bit), AIFF, AAC (unprotected), MP3, DSD (2 channel DSD64 and DSD128). Now I have to find a way of listening to the unit using my native DSD128 files! In its balanced output mode. Though HD 600 or Nighthawks. ;-)
  3. Could you, please, clarify to me one issue about wanting the Pono player. Why Pono when there are several excellent high resolution players both below and above its selling price? And, especially, as it does not support DSD. Or am I missing something? I am particularly concerned with omission of DSD format as I am producing live jazz albums using DSD128 and I know how native DSD recordings can sound. Considering the gradual but steady increase in a number of available DSD recordings buying a player today that does not support the format is rather odd. Please clarify the issue for me. P.S. I am prepared to provide samples of recordings to prove the quality point. And here is an article by Andreas Koch of Playback Designs that gives a proper perspective on all things high res.: primephonic | News
