  1. Hey Michal, The DAC looks very interesting to me, and it's great to see that you are based in New York (I lived in the city for 17 years). Questions: * Regarding the output stage, is it a discrete circuit or OP-amp based? * Can you tell us more about the headphone amp? Will it play nicely with IEMs? (In my experience some headphone amps have too much gain or hiss to be used with IEMs like the JH Audio customs.) Thanks!
  2. Video game designer/developer. My current project is a music game, in fact.
  3. Does the QB-9 have balanced outs? More importantly, does it have a volume control? I've come to love the idea of connecting DACs directly to my amps. I'm doing this now with my ModWright Transporter, and the results are great.
  4. Over the years I've tried many computer sources and DACs, including the USB DAC1, Headamp Pico, Transporter, and Modwright Transporter (which now resides in my main system). Any idea how the Proton compares to these? How will it sound in the context of a decent home system -- Cary amplification and PMC speakers? Can it drive an amp directly? Finally, when will Stereo Exchange receive new units for sale? I live just down the street in NYC. Very interested! Thanks!
