  1. Alex, Thanks for this idea - really neat & less clutter. I have modified all 3 of my Meanwell SMPS's being used with my LPS-1's. I have also created a slightly different grounding adapter, using parts from Jaycar here in Oz. It works out cheaper for me. Here is what I used ... And I have applied this grounding adapter to my Netgear GS-108 switch and to my NAS - I am quite impressed with the improvement in SQ. Thanks John and Alex! Regards, Rob

    HQ Player

Miska or anyone else, can you help me with HQP 3.13.3 for Linux? Thanks

    HQ Player

Hi bibo01, I tried going to MAIN then NEWS, but when I click on the link for V3.13.3, the only version available to download is 3.16.4 I reset Safari and also tried Chrome, but not luck. What am I doing wrong?

    HQ Player

I am trying to install HQPlayer 3.16.4 (64 Bit) onto an older PC running Linux Mint 18.2 (Intel Core 2 Duo E7200, 3.2GHz, 2G Ram). I realise that it won't be suitable for PCM to DSD, but I can live with that. HQPlayer installs OK but fails to run, because the CPU does not support the SSE4.2 instruction set. So I am wanting to download the last version of HQPlayer that does not require the CPU to support the SSE4.2 instruction set. The Signalist website only offers the latest version. Can someone supply that version of HQPlayer please? Also I was considering installing Miska's custom kernel from https://www.sonarnerd.net/src/xenial/ Do I simply install the appropriate linux-image and linux-headers packages? Regards, Rob
  6. Alex, I have the TP-Link MC100CM - its power requirements are 9V/0.6A or 5V/1A. By my reckoning, it should draw about 0.8A at 7V. So can you confirm that the LPS-1 (energised by the Meanwell PSU from the Regen), would be OK to power the DAC end of the FMC plus the microRendu which draws about 0.2A at 7V? Regards, Rob
  7. Jesus, I have just ordered a microRendu from Vortexbox in Australia. Am I eligible for a coupon also, and who would I get it from - Sonore or Vortexbox?
  8. Regarding the shuffle feature ... Damien, I haven’t had a chance to try out your suggestion until now. Activating the Stop button twice does not reset the random shuffle for me. Only very occasionaly has it worked. Most of the time the play order is simply repeated. I tried the following - activate the Stop button, then de-activate shuffle followed by re-activating shuffle. This results in the last track previously played, becoming the first track played, then a different order of tracks is played. Am I doing it incorrectly? Rob
  9. Jud, I never shuffle Albums, only the entire library. And I notice that some tracks are repeated at the next listening session and others never played. I suspect Roon could do this with ease, but I would rather put that money towards a uRendu. So it would be great if A+ could improve in this area. Rob
  10. Damien, would it be possible to include in V2.6 an improvement to the Shuffle function, or is that already in hand? Thanks, Rob
  11. Yes, I agree! I am upsampling PCM -> PCM, and I noticed a wonderful improvement in V2.5.2. Thank you Damien.
  12. +1 And is it possible in the next upgrade (or one after that), to have true random shuffle of playlist? Please! Rob
  13. I agree. I have always noticed that the 'shuffle' option is not a true random shuffle. I keep hearing tracks in the same order. I nearly always use 'shuffle' to listen to my playlists, and so would appreciate a true random shuffle. Having said that, I do appreciate A+ and the remote app. Thank you Damien!
  14. Thanks Alex, I have got something on now, so will study this more closely later. Kind regards, Rob
