  1. Let’s get something straight. I am a “newbe” with minimal knowledge and critical listening experience. I am an eager student learning to listen critically while enjoying timeless, ageless music across genres! Wow! I am running from a Surface Pro 2 tablet to the Ciunas DAC to Focal CMS40’s. Auditioning the Elijah Audio Quad Braid Mk.4 and Isolate Cu (Single Sleeve) has been an awesome privilege. Listening to the Elijah’s versus three supposedly comparable options was more than educational. Intentionally I ignored selling price, advertising, and minimally considered the comments of others. Both Elijah cables surfaced as the “crème de la crème” for my set up and listening. While I loved the quality of the Quad 4, the Isolate Cu, seems the wiser choice. The Ciunas requires only the data line. Repeatedly listening to the same tracks across multiple genres on both Elijah cables, revealed subtle differences. to my ears. I have landed on the Isolate Cu. Even though the Isolate Cu was not as “burned in” as the Quad 4, it performed better for my ears. Both cables consisently demonstrated smooth, rich, relaxed sound. A win-win. The Isolate Cu provided a slightly warmer, cleaner, more natural sound to my ear. Plus, that red wool won me over! I know there are cables that cost more and cost less. I know there are marketing claims on either end of the spectrum. For me, the Isolate Cu is a solid investment for a lifetime of listening. Thank you Elijah Audio!
