  1. Mr. Ryan. The problem I had with my QB9DSD may not make any sense for you but it was a real pain to me. Anyway, I built a desktop for audio (silent) and all works fine. Best luck for you all, enjoy life and your music. Luís Bettencourt
  2. Me again, with some feedback for anyone else who may have this problem. Solution: Try another computer, if possible. Now, I'm using another laptop, Acer Aspire 5738ZG and all works fine. Enjoy life,
  3. Hello, Mr. Charles I changed the power switch to "B" but this way the DAC never leaves the standby mode (green led) and both foobar2000 and J River can't start to play anything (the players gave me one error about not getting the sample rate...). After this I changed power switch back to "A" and all playing again but the DAC is always ON "---".
  4. Hi I received my QB-9 DSD 2 days ago and I have same issue (always ON with the "---"). I'm using an old laptop, Asus m50sr. I know that doesn't affect the DAC quality. Just trying to know if there are any news about that little thing? Another question, if I may. I'm used to switch off all my things in the power surges ON/OFF button (except the fridge). I do this at least 2 or 3 times a week (or almost every day, when I remember), especially during weekends when I'm out. My question is Is this bad for Ayre DAC? Thanks, Luís
  5. Ok, thanks ejn1 Yes, you're right. I thought what was said for power amps would also apply to preams. I will look for what Wang said. Good luck for us all Thank you
  6. Hi ejn1 Thank you very much for your input. I only asked because I read a lot about Auralic XLR outputs being "too hot"...I don't remember the exact numbers "the Ω" but it sounded like it plays too loud and may it may sound bad with some pre-amps. The Primare i32 manual says "Balanced input 2 XLR, 36kΩ impedance". I love good sound but don't know much about Ω impedance. Enjoy life
  7. Hello One question about the volume settings, if I may. I will buy Auralic Vega soon and I want to connect it to my Primare i32. I have Audiolab M-Dac and don't need to use volume control (only use it for headphones). The volume in the PC is at 100% and the DAC is set to DAC only, so I only need to use the i32 volume. After some things I read in this review, I'm not sure about Auralic Vega being a good match for me. Can someone tell me how to do the volume control in Auralic Vega+Primare i32? It will sound good or, maybe, I should look for another DAC? Thanks!
