  1. Your statement is not relevant to the points at all. A total red herring.
  2. If banning is the "exclusive prerogative of the site owner" and moderating is the "exclusive prerogative of the site owner," then why is it okay for you to get away with moderating Daudio, and repeatedly moderating many others, and not okay for Daudio to remind other members that name calling is against the rules and can lead to possible banning? I suppose if you include this comment it makes it okay? "in the moment I tend to want to write such posts" If banning and moderating are the sole duties of the site owner, according to you, then why not take your own advice and ignore postings that bother you, and stop repeatedly moderating the behaviors of others?
  3. Some of the Sprout criticism in this thread was a bit over the top, especially the price point discussion, but some was justified. The lack of remote, for example. If PS Audio were to develop a compact 50W@8ohm/DAC/head amp/one analog in and put it in something like a NuWave Phono Converter case, priced under 1,000, then they'd have something.
  4. Why the extremes? Why not a good class AB?
  5. Yes, I'd forgotten about LFD and Leben. There are perhaps a few obscure tube integrated's as well, but not too many others without remote. BTW, wasn't really disputing firedog's statement, was mostly just interested in which others came to mind. Still seems to be only a very small handful without remote control.
  6. Apparently, reading public posts on CA constitute stalking, according to wgscott. Should I list the numerous posts of yours in which you interject and invoke my name (slanderously) into discussions which don't even involve you? Who's stalking who? Here are just two:
  7. Sprout Hello Kitty Edition is not such a bad idea. HK is pretty big.
  8. Examples? The only one I can think of off the top of my head is Lavardin.
  9. Hi Bill Leebens, Don't mean to pile on with the criticism (just take this as constructive customer feedback), but I've always believed that not including remote control kills at least half of potential sales. I don't get how this would not be obvious? Personally, no volume RC is an immediate deal breaker, and everyone I know shares this same view. Remote volume control should be included in all products, without exception, IMO.
  10. I understand these are not exactly comparable to a soundbar, but the general consensus seems to be that soundbars should be an absolute last resort when there are similarly compact 2.1 alternatives. Just try harder to make one of the non-soundbar alternatives work. FWIW, holes for running thin wire through walls can be virtually microscopic in size and very easily repaired later with a dab of spackle and paint. Bet you would never tell a hole was ever there. Plus, not sure if you noticed, but that Focal Bird system includes the LF driver in the unit itself. Also, the amp can be mounted to the wall. Anyway, hope you find the best solution.
  11. "If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it." -Joseph Goebbels You've accused others of this tactic of repeating a lie. Apparently, you're quite familiar with the tactic and rather fond of using it yourself.
  12. Soundbar? How about the Paradigm MilleniaOne CT? Check the physical measurements for the speakers, they're actually quite small and compact. I was looking at these for someone, but the dependence on the Control Box and DSP "smiley" EQ turned me off to the idea. Paradigm® | System (2.1 Fully Powered) The Focal Bird system is another compact option. The speakers can mount to the wall with minimal damage. 13. Any intelligent forum member will require evidence for your continued baseless slanderous remarks before falling for it, but the less intelligent and easily manipulated will no doubt be fooled by such dishonest behavior. Seems you've already identified which of your "friends" are among the less intelligent, because you've used the fear manipulation tactic on her, which, as you likely know, only works on those described above. Anyone who repeatedly demonstrates a willingness to resort to baseless slander as a way of dealing with criticism, and is in a position of authority over young students, concern should be high. Parents of students at a certain University should be very concerned.

Very much looking forward to this DAC. Any updated pricing information? Last I read it was in the ~1,500 range. Also, will there be a black color option or only silver? Thanks
  15. Jud, Whenever there's a new official forum feature, management policy, or CA direction announced you're always in the thread answering questions, giving explanations for and defending policy decisions, and addressing concerns and criticisms, which seems to suggest that you were involved in the management decision process in some way. Your comments, views, opinions, suggestions and recommendations always seem to align perfectly with the specific direction CA ultimately takes. Curious if you might be involved in the decision process at all, or act as site manager in any capacity?
