  1. I have never heard a difference, but I have had some cheapo's that had interference. Those had little or no shielding. So my rule is don't use cheap crap. However, I am probably not the right person to answer.
  2. I do the same thing. Have a spreadsheet-like metadata editor, copy the album title column, paste in excel and append a "- CD" (or whatever) in a new column and paste back into the editor. I have ripped cd's in one folder, albums purchased from had tracks in another, and so on. Works fine.
  3. Sorry it took so long to reply. I have a pretty fast web connection. My Mini sounds like a very similar configuration to yours and my office system is a Mac Pro. It doesn’t lock up at all. Odd. My music is served from a Synology NAS as well.
  4. Roon is a horrible PITA on my system. A+ does everything I need, and I have tried just about all of them.
  5. I had constant dropouts using the Tidal app on a Mac Pro. So much so I cancelled my subscription. When Tidal became available with Audirvana, I tried it again. No more dropouts and now the app works fine as well. But I am an Audirvana guy and it works great in that.
  6. I tried Tidal a couple of years ago and it had dropouts and stutters. When it became available in Audirvana, I signed up for a trial and it worked fine. Now it works fine in the app as well. I never figured out what the problem was but it certainly wasn't network speed. However, I have only tried MQA once and although it worked fine, i just didn't see the upside.
  7. I use Audirvana with my iPad. If I need to see OS X, I use Splashtop Streamer. Music is on a Synology NAS but I also stream Tidal. It works fine with zero speed issues.
  8. Hello, I have two separate computer systems running Audirvana, one is my home office and the other is Mac Mini that I use as a music server in the living room. Is there a way to export Tidal playlists so I can have a copy on the other computer? There doesn't appear to be. Thanks.
  9. Is there a way to create a playlist from the play queue? I can't seem to find a way.
  10. Get the Gungnir fixed and upgrade to the multibit. I upgraded mine and it is pretty impressive. The USB is modular so it is just a board replacement (I think).
  11. I've been having this problem that I thought it would go away if I simply upgraded. The screen shot is part of the play queue screen. If I click on a song, the Discard Changes? screen pops up. I don't make any changes. This happened on the previous version of Audirvana as well. This instance is installed on a late 2008 Mac Pro in my home office. My music server in the living room is a Mini. Everything works as normal there. Anybody else see this?
  12. I use a Mini running Audirvana. Perfectly happy.
  13. Aweful sound out of the speakers? I get that sometimes as well. It is a Audirvana deal. I quit Audirvana between listening sessions and don't have the problem. I figure it is some sort of bug in 2.6. to OP. I have a core i7 mini with a SSD internal. Be aware it is very easy to fat finger a mini while apart. I fubar' the IR connection, which has the thinnest wire I have ever seen.
