  1. “ I recently purchased a copy of 'Wings at the Speed of Sound ' boxset online only to find that the download page no longer works “ = No download. Have a look at www.paulmccartney.com > Maccaboard ; it’s littered with people who’ve had the same problem and nobody on the site or the record company gives a crap . The image I posted of the contents sheet clearly lists a 24/96 download which they are no longer providing. Shouldnt be tolerated . M
  2. I bought the Super Deluxe Edition . There's nothing wrong with the physical set ( 2xcds + 1Dvd) but the 24/96 downloads as listed on the attached contents sheet do not work and they will not furnish them . What is so difficult to understand ? They advertise it as including the downloads but if they consider it 'old' they think they are no longer obliged to do so . False advertising at the very least . ~M~
  3. A Cautionary Tale.Just a word of warning to anyone considering purchasing any of the Paul McCartney Archive Collection sets . I recently purchased a copy of 'Wings at the Speed of Sound ' boxset online only to find that the download page no longer works . I contacted the seller ( who did their best ) , Paul McCartney's webmaster ( no reply , no help ) and Universal Music ( worse than useless ) who informed me that as this was an 'old item' ( released in 2014 ) and they are no longer supporting it ( so stop selling them then ! ) they were unwilling to supply a new link or set of download files . So Im returning my WATSOS boxset for a refund and would strongly advise people to check before they buy as Universal Music are not honouring their own contents sheet as attached. Such a pity , as I already own 8 others in this series but that's it , no more for me . Paul McCartney deserves better , and so do we .Very disappointing,~M~
  4. Any chance of this reaching the BDP-93 player ?? ~M~
  5. Also , the original patent refers to 'Encoding/Decoding' capability so whether you enjoy any or all of Cd/Dvd/BD/Download or PCM/Flac/Alac if the original recording is MQA authenticated then you should gain benefit ( obviously assuming a quality recording ) . Those who have heard it have been blown away by the quality : from a dealer's post on HitchHikers Forum : " On older 50`s master we could here the female artist turning and looking to her left as she was singing. On every other format or recording she sounds like she is standing behind the artist she is singing with. Not beside him - sometimes turning her head looking at him! " Rather than just being a 'source' of good quality audio MQA will mean that that quality can also travel with you on your commute , on your phone , tablet or whatever playback system you have . Artists will also be happy that all the hard work in the studio can be heard in its entirety by real music lovers . ~M~
  6. 'Perfect sound forever ' ....and some formats have got away with murder for years earning their owners countless billions in royalties.... This seems different in that , like Mlp , it appears quite cost-effective , so there really is no reason for a label not to sign up ( this would not commit them to releasing a hi-res MQA version straight away ) . For the artists it provides the actual sound that they hear themselves notwithstanding the quality of hardware involved . It is also very sturdy and can be distributed anyway you choose , disc/download/streaming . When you read the small print , it also appears that , as a result of their research , Meridian have completely changed their stance regarding the best way to deliver Studio Quality Audio at home or on the go . Looking forward to hearing it ~M~
