  1. I vote DSD. I often go to San Carlo Theater in Naples (Italy), to attend Live Performances of Opera or Classical masterpieces. At home I hear the music from Quad Esl 63 speakers, driven by a good Onkyo amplifier. All I can say is that DSD music is, in todo, the closest approach to what I hear from my seat in San Carlo balcony. To me PCM music is more HiFi as opposed to what the real music sounds.
  2. I've just registered I live in Italy and have purchased Idsd nano from the italian distributor. On first listenings trough my Quad Esl 63 speakers I'm very well impressed especially with dsd. At moment I'm using F2K/Win7-64bit and am considering to switch from F2K to JRiver for more setting options. I'm a real newbee in this Dac field, so I apologise for some stupid questions. a. Do you advise to switch to JR? b. In the dac box I found 2 big rubber rings Are they to be fitted on the Dac enclosure to help reduce micro vibrations? c. In the dac box I found also a rectangular piece of soft White silicon rubber. What's its use? Thank you for help. Sorry for my English.
