I'm quite new to computer audio (and don't know if this is the right thread for this question?) I have enjoyed the reference recordings HDCD discs for some time - and am keen to be able to play their new HRx files. (I have quite good equipment (eg Martin Logan Summit speakers). I have a NAD HDCD compact disc player which I will need to replace fairly soon. I would like to be able to play both HDCDs and the HRx files from a PC laptop. Is this possible? Is it sensible? What hardware and software(?) would I need? - and what sort of specification should I look for in the laptop? If thsi all makes sense maybe someone may be able to suggest actual brands that will be suitable for my system (and relatively idiot proof) Many thanks
