  1. View Classified Nimak Titan USB 6N UP-OCC Silver / dual head power & signal - THE REFERENCE USB connection This is the NIMAK Titan USB cable, 75cm length. Conductors are made of 99.9999 soft silver. The conductors are 12awg and this is possibly the largest diameter AWG Ohno silver USB cable in existence (this is twice the thickness of 15awg pure silver). It is the Reference USB cable from NIMAK. It is dual head version with data and power separated so those with a dac using amanero384 usb input can exclude the power portion from their connection. For those who need the power portion for their dac, you will need two usb outputs on your PC or streamer. These are one-off, built to order cables by Nimak Audio which are incredibly labour intensive and costly to construct. This cable elavates USB signals to their absolute summit of possibility - it needs to be heard to be believed and will showcase high resolution sources at their absolute peak. 500GBP (net to me) and free postage in the UK (new cost around 900GBP) Shipping elsewhere is possible, at cost. 2. View Classified Auralic Aries G1 Streamer with Hoer Wege upgraded PSU (+++ large sonic improvement over stock G1) Aries G1 in great condition. Boxed with instructions, etc. Can add more pictures if needed.... A few months ago I decided to investigate the recommendations in a few Auralic forums about the Hoer Wege power supply upgrade for the G1. It's a significant investment (540 euros), and required an internal swap (this G1 is no different in appearance to a standard unit) but it made a huge difference to the audio quality of the G1. The differences are not subtle - to me my streaming services (Quobuz) come across as much more analogue and luscious and its removed a slight harshness and grain to the HFs that were there in the standard G1. With my new DAC I've now been completely satisfied with a streaming audio subscription as my primary music source. Selling this only as I've taken a punt on an ex-demo G2.1 Aries (which I plan to upgrade with the Hoer Wege G2.1 PSU). Regards, John (Advert price in pounds not USD) The price (firm) reflects the money spent on this recent upgrade - £1800 - PRICE DROP FOR QUICK SALE - £1700 Please note - the 1 year warranty that Auralic provides is only available to the original owner, so any used/second-hand Auralic devices are not covered by warranty, as far as I know. Hoer Wege provides a 2 year warranty for their upgrade PSU (1.5 years remain remain on this). A lot of folks have now done this upgrade and I've personally never seen any testimonies of G1 or G2/G2.1 failure post upgrade, nor any feedback questioning the value of this upgrade. 3. Sorry. No @Egill23 - never had the chance to hear a TI - read enough about them, but when I was ready to spend that much on a DAC my timing just nudged me into the TII incarnation. Also only bought the Hermes some weeks after the TII arrived, enough time for the unit to burn in. The DDC was 100% worth it, I'd never go back (haven't even done an A-B after time as it was very noticeable from the start. The Hermes looks possibly like the sweet spot for the slightly budget conscious as the better clocks of the much more expensive Gaia are seemingly negated with the TII Precision OXCO clock out. TII and Hermes is a great combination - not sure how it compares with T+ alone, but it's certainly cheaper... I'm sure there will be more reviews forthcoming that compare the two Terminators, but for now we have Chris' write up above which does seem like a very positive summary for the new model. So much of the T+ tech is put into in the much later released TII that my thinking is it's again the sweet spot for the slightly budget minded. Surely a T+ mk II beckons soon to make a bit more daylight between the models again...but for now I think the TII and Hermes is giving me a musical experience that I cannot imagine growing tired of. More a case of trying to bring the rest of the components up to scratch... Hard to not be curious about what the TII brings, but I bet your 2020 TI is outstanding too. With the resale hassle and import duties it could be a lot of money which might be better spent elsewhere. All the best, John
  4. I was looking at the May KTE but the price to the UK was simply beyond my budget at that time. So I spoke to Alvin and Vinshine - always an excellent experience - about the T+ and the newly arriving TII and he helped convince me to go with the TII. I knew about the long burn in process but right away I could see how much it exceeded what my VEGA G1 could ever do. Right away the whole musical experience felt that much more engaging, less fatiguing, and in the balance of changes everything that arrived was positive, and all the 'deductions; in the sonics felt equally as important too. It was only then - once I'd got to terms with the absence of some sonic traits - that I realised how much more natural the R2R sound from Denafrips was compared to the Auralic. A few weeks later I managed to get hold of a Hermes DDC, and adding TII clock out was another real enabler to bring my front-end nearer to what the TII could deliver. Hugely worthwhile upgrade, and now my Aries G1 streamer with Hoer-Wege PSU upgrade and fantastic cables sounds equally as good through streaming as I could ever get via ripped FLACS. TII was a great step up for me - adding the Hermes DDC and adding excellent USB, i2S and clock cabling has shown me just how good this DAC is. Can't imagine needing to upgrade for a long time - one happy customer here
