  1. I recently called EMO for a recommendation and they recommended the EN-85e because it had the lowest insertion losses and they provided the attached comparison. They also gave me a discount code 'audio85e' to share. ($10off and free shipping)
  2. I don't have the EMO EN-70HD, but the folks at EMO recommended the EN-80e to me for audio and gave me a discount code which they encouraged me to share. 'audio85e' got $10 off and free shipping. I'm happy with the result.
  3. EMO recommended to me the EN-85e for audio. It had the added advantage of a male and female connectors which eliminated an extra connection. They said they now recommend this model over their others because it has the lowest insertion losses. They also gave me a checkout code for $10 off and free shipping. 'audio85e'
  4. This is a really great observation! There is always a trade off with signal conversions, and it makes sense that fiber would not be the correct choice for a home setup under normal circumstances. I've had good results with network isolation and linear power supplies on my all copper network.
  5. lmitche, Thanks for the positive reply to my "meager attempt" to share some information with the group. You are appreciated!
  6. I found this whitepaper regarding network isolators for audio systems to be informative.
  7. I'm looking into something similar. I found a American company willing to sell single units of their medical grade network isolation transformers: EMO Systems, Inc. · Network Isolation and I will be trying out a few on my system.
  8. For whatever it's worth, I found a US distributor of medical Ethernet isolation transformers in multiple form factors. They claim to have the highest performing units on the market. EMO Systems, Inc. · Network Isolation They were willing to sell single quantities to me and the pricing was better ~$175. I'll post back with a review soon.
