Hello all, Hello Alex, I'm always happy to read you. I was this weekend at the Paris hifi show. CoMare to my Uptone-Apple gears, the sources used there were ... tizzy. Only Totaldac and few others were at the expected level. @lemitche Sorry if I was confusing you with my comments. What I wanted to say is that the JS2, in my system,is above the CloneAudio. And from my personal testings, the best results I had were with the best is class LPSU feeding the NAS, not the Mac. Unfortunately I'm a bit scared to use the JS2 for the Mini & the NAS because when I tried this configuration two years ago, I had so many hard crashes of the NAS. At that time I was using a Syno114 not my Qnap 251. One more thing, the 251 replaced a Qnap 210 last yea with also a noticeable sound improvement Regards Pol .

Hello all I do not come so often here since few months. So. I’ve had some testing opportunity that should be interesting to share. One of my friends gave me for a week an Uptone LPS1. From time to time during its development, I had a look on Alex or John progress. Some month ago I asked directly to Alex: “does it makes sense for me to buy your LPS1 when it will be available? “ Alex clearly say No! a good friendly No. you already have a JS2 for the regen. No need to go further with LPS1. But as LPS1 is at home this week. I decided to compare 3 solutions. Solution n°1 my current system : Clone Audio -> NAS Qnap251 Uptone JS2 -> macMini (output 2) Uptone JS2 -> Regen (output 1) solution n°2 Clone Audio -> NAS Qnap251 Uptone JS2 (output 2) -> macMini Uptone JS2 (output 1) - > Ultracap - > Regen Solution n°3 Uptone JS2 (output 1) - >NAS Qnap251 Uptone JS2 (output 2) - >macMini Clone Audio - >Ultracap - >Regen My Mini is a 2013 I7 - 16Go – MMK – SD card – CAD scripst – Mavericks – Audirvana 2.5.99 – Fabfilter … I play both A+ stand alone with/without Ramdisk & A+ integer mode. comparison between solution 1&2 was noticeable. Fluid, more natural, organic are words I should use to describe the difference. It is not a big big gap, but it is noticeable. Difference could be compared with the difference you have when your amplifier is cold /warm When I went to the solution n°3, I was not expecting any changes. At least some marginal improvements. That was not the case. Not at all. It was a hurge change. Deeper bass and more density in the message. At the same time treble and harmonics are improving too. No matter with the position of the volume knob. It is and stays far better than the others solutions. As a conclusion for me. JS2 & LPS1 are made to work together. LPS1 will be in my wish list for 2017. And may be a second JS2. Except if Alex & John have in their mind a powerful version of the LPS1 – 5amps please???? Regards Pol

Hello. I have a Totaldac D1 valve with NOS tubes since 2 years now. it is my second Totaldac converter, first was A1. I bought it used from a guy who was so disappointed with it. No bass, no details, no xxxxx, no yyyy. I had more or less the same impression when I connected it to my system. My former A1 was better. Something was wrong. It took me almost 6 months to get all the potential of this DAC. LPSUs, cables, Mmk and SD card boot, fanless NAS.... Devil is in the details. Now it is really delightful. Foot taping and analogical. I can ear music for hours without any fatigue. When I close my eyes, the band is here, with me, just for me. I could touch them. I do not know how the Yggdrasil sounds, it can give more emotion than the Totaldac. But when you want to buy one of these high quality machines, the complete system (boxes and settings) must be considered. Otherwise you will surely be disappointed.

I do. i have D1 tube DAC and TotalDac USB cable. It's really good.

If i understand well...for me the best result for the REGEN is... JS-2 with 9v. 7v is good, (i started with 7v) but it provides less density. 9v is really more dense and foot tapping. output 1 for the REGEN, output 2 for the Mac. I love.

My UpTone JS2 is powering both MACMINI & REGEN. I use a Totaldac USB cable to feed a Belcanto REFLINK. My dac is a Totaldac D1 tube. REGEN is between the Totadac USB and the REFLINk of course. Result is WAOUHHHHHH!!!! better than all I've listened.

Hello Alex, thanks for the good news. i just have one question, what will be the plug diameter for the DC input? If it's not 5.5mm/2.5mm I want to anticipate and be able to power it with my JS2. FP
