  1. Hello, thanks for your post. Just tried that - entered command to terminal, did a reboot, checked under Activity monitor -> energy, all the apps had App nap set to ''No''. Used computer for just about 5 mins and the speakers restarted again, so that's not the problem
  2. Hello, the problem is that I bought those speakers from the UK as they weren't available in my country yet. The KEF warranty is only valid in the UK, so i would have to ship those back to UK which would be costly, and still there's no guarantee it would solve my problem. I'm also speculating that the problem is in my iMac, but I don't know what exactly in the system is worth looking at. Thanks.
  3. Hello, thanks for your reply. That is not the problem I am having or at least did not notice it. My speakers randomly restart, probably getting some wrong signal from the computer, they release a quick half second noise sound (very unpleasing for ears) and then turn off and on again (probably speaker's safery mechanism). This happens very often so it's very annoying. Realhifi: I contacted KEF representative in my country and so far they were unable to provide solution. Had speakers there observing them for a couple of weeks.
  4. Hello guys, I have been happy with the KEF speakers I purchased regarding sound. However there’s an issue that’s been bugging me and I want to ask you guys if you maybe know what the cause is. The speakers are randomly restarting about 2-3 times a day, interestingly, sometimes also in the night time when nothing is playing (they release a very quick noise sound and then restart, enough to wake me up). After the restart it takes 10seconds or so and then they work again. I have them hooked up via usb directly to my iMac. Tried different USB ports, different USB cable, checked and switched power supplies - nothing seems to help. Brought speakers to local service provider and after a couple of week he claims that there's a piece of software for Mac from KEF (like a drivers) that is suppost to solve those issues. However so far I did not manage to obtain this software from them. Only X300a Wireless version software is available from KEFs website, however it ony works with wireless version speakers. What could be the cause for this issue? Thankyou in advance!
