Weird right eardrum "vacuum" feeling
Michael-Elijah Audio replied to Michael-Elijah Audio's topic in General Forum
Thanks for all of the above - the answer I'm sure is both minor in nature and more than likely contained in the above possibilites - It is winter here in South Australia and I do a lot of driving, which is known to cause back/neck ailments And I commit the cardinal sin of using Cotton buds after showering..... -
Weird right eardrum "vacuum" feeling
Michael-Elijah Audio replied to Michael-Elijah Audio's topic in General Forum
Thanks Mourip - should have also mentioned that it is intermittent - was happening when I posted - but stopped a few hours ago - never had anything like it before and as mentioned , it just started out of the blue a few weeks ago I prefer to steer clear of any kind of medication - will try to notice the circumstances when it happens to try to nut out the cause -
Hi all, thought I'd check here before seeking medical advice For the last 2-3 weeks - I have had this weird "vacuum" like lock between my nasal breathing and my right eardrum as in - when I breathe in I can feel(sense) those breathes causing pressure on my right eardrum I have tried blocking both nostrils and blowing, but to no avail It's no more than slightly annoying - but I would like to be rid of it Any thoughts ? Thanks , Michael.....

DIY one into two - courtesy of WAGO 221 connectors - easy as to use and rock solid connection Certainly not elegant or pretty - but if you absolutely must have a dual 2.1mm DC cable - and it will probably be hidden from view anyway The Wago's are 18mm square and the star quad I used is 18g (twisted pair -15g)

Split Usb cable and Roon or is it a Pi issue?
Michael-Elijah Audio replied to CrushingIt's topic in Music Servers
Hi all, just to clarify - my split cables all have 2 ground leads, one on the Data leg and one on the power leg Michael -
Have just emailed Oyaide to ask if they can do international shipping Conversion rate is great - about US$ 4.50 each !

Low Profile Right Angle 2.1mm plug ( Not Gold plated) This is using the thicker, 18AWG Response StarQuad cable - if you are using the thinner , girly () Canare 4S6 it will be even easier..... Forgot about the solder tabs and inserted the positive wires straight down into the centre pin hole - remember this is a cheap generic plug - then used GhentAudio idea to solder Gnd wires ( sort of) - wrapped it all in plumbers tape and used a clever Heatshrink trick to finish it of - Tip - the bit of extra length of 13mm Heatshrink that extends past the plug - while the tubing is still mad hot , squeeze tightly with a pair of needle nose pliers to fuse together and trim Michael

That 2273 is for Solidcore wires only - no good for stranded 4S6 It's Ok for us who can solder - but this allows anyone with a sharp knife to build their own Y cable
-
The finished cable may not be as pretty as my Graphic - but it's a recipe that anyone can do
-
This new one is even smaller and accepts from 14 AWG to 28 AWG - 2 x 21 AWG 4S6 is approx 18 AWG - so the double wires will fit no problem
-
Got it - I think - easy as pie DIY Y cable Order 3 cables from Ghent unterminated at one end - at your required lengths For eg - 1 x 30cm , 2 x 15cm Get a pack of these Wago connectors - About $10 for 10 The 6 positive wires go in one connector - 6 negative wires go in another Here's a vid about them

@Michael-Elijah Audio Can you please test with your Elec connector ? I don't have the Canary- wire - the Response Speaker cable I used is larger all round 8.5mm OD with 4 x 18AWG - Saying that, I don't think 8 wires ( even the slightly thinner 21AWG 4S6) will fit - definitely not with the shell - but also the soldering would be an issue - 4 wires onto the centre pin....... I think tbooe is on the right track Something like this would be an "elegant" solution

Hi Jud - you'll need 19mm(3/4") min. Heatshrink to fit over the screw type 2.1mm plug - 3:1 shrink ratio would be best I think you could heat it up to shrink while its straight then put the 90 deg. bend in it while the Heatshrink is still hot Michael
