Well it's encouraging that you like the diamond so much. Aq can make it in any termination, including micro. I was hoping for more on the light speed level, since so many seem to prefer it in spades over the diamond but maybe it's still a good buy.

If you're asking if I'm running something like the ap2+pp with a coax, I am not. I'm interested in it though. I have run the cord that comes with it (fine) aq carbon (via USB b to micro adapter - ok) but heard it through optical and it sounded great. Looking for something that brings that same level of analogue type sound. Guessing I just need something that reduces more rf interference, hence a better cable. Thanks for the heads up, ted but I'm hoping for a straight USB to micro unless the adapter doesn't fuss with the signal much. I emailed someone at light speed and he was skeptical about the adapters but not sure.

Phew. Guess every board has it's trolls. Anyways, thanks for the defense guys but I'd rather ignore it. This thread kinda sucks now, but amazingly I'd still like to know if there are other Hugo owners out there that love a particular USB.

Anyone else have the Hugo and any opinions on USB cables? Anyone try the diamond USB? Looking for good synergy...

Hey guys - Running a MacBook Pro to a chord Hugo with headphones, also going to do some time with a tube amp in a main system. Wondering if anyone has found good USB cable synergy with this dac? I've read through the USB cable thread but most of those cable companies don't offer a micro USB termination. Thinking of going aq diamond as they do a micro but would love a light speed. Do adapters effect the sound much, or are there better adapters that don't degrade as much? Thanks for any advice in advance...
