  1. Is there a user manual available for 3.5? I’ve been trying to figure out how to browse by genre with no luck and asked the question here a couple pages back with no replies, any help would be great.
  2. How do you browse by genre, Is it not an option? It is an option on the iPad remote, but I can't seem to find it in the app. Also, is there a user manual available for 3.5?
  3. My LPS-1.2 just stopped powering my ultraRendu today. The uR wasn't showing up in Roon, so I checked the back of the unit and the light was flashing red and I can't remember the colour of the light on the LPS-1.2. Unplugged everything and then reconnected and the light on the LPS-1.2 is green but it is not powering up the uR at all. I brought my old no name (eBay) LPS out of storage and connected to the uR, no problem at all. The LPS-1.2 is set at 7v. Any thoughts on what the problem could be?
  4. Curious about what's your issue with Tidal? IMO it's great and match it with Roon and it's a total winner.
  5. Quick question - If you update your album artwork using another program (in my case Metadatics) or replace a 16/44.1 album with a hi-res version, should it not replace the artwork to the new one that is actually in the file when you do a rescan of your library? Am I missing a checkbox or something but this hasn't been the case for me at all.

  7. Jesus R, can you look into native DSD support for the Unison Research CD Due. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Computer Audiophile mobile app
  8. I disagree with the above comments. I very much like the revised design, the only comment I do agree with the making the heart icon smaller. The only very important issue missing is the ability to ignore articles, which has been brought up multiple times by various members and for some reason has never been addressed by Damien?
  9. Hoping I can get some help here. I recently bought a new dac, a Unison Research CDDue which does up to PCM 384. The issue I'm having is when I have A+ set to 2x, 4x,... upsampling I'm getting what I would call a digital artifact sound (a little click) every so often, always in the same place of a track, but not every track. I played around with different USB cable and even attached my MacBook to see if the same that happened on a different PC and it did. After playing around with the settings, if I take steepness down to zero the digital artifact is gone (Adele - Send My Love) at 8x upsampling. So I'm wondering if at 8x the A+ filter is competing with the 3 built-in filters in the UR (minimum phase is my preference). In HQP same thing but only at 8x upsampling where as in A+ the artifacts/clicks starts at 4x. Any help, with what may be going on would be appreciated. Thanks. BTW Damien, great job with 2.3... love the revisions to the library design.
  10. Yes, under a settings window for dff/dsf you can set it to play through and not convert to pcm.
  11. Thanks for the help. Looks like I'll place an order for a Blue Jeans Cable. riffer, I just didn't want to go out and buy an expensive cable if there was no reason... But these BJC that people are recommending are priced fine to try. My system now uses Cardas Parsec RCA which I'm very happy with but their coaxial is too pricy to just try.
  12. I thought I'd ask and get some members opinion. I use a Squeezebox Touch with EOD installed and I just purchased a Unison Research CDDue which offers both USB and Coaxial inputs and in the past I used an Oppo BD105 which only offers USB. My question is should I stick with USB or try the coaxial. Will I notice any performance differences between the two and if so can I get some recommendations for a coaxial cable to purchase. Thanks for any help.
  13. Answer me this...why did Sony put a track limit on it and try and keep that fact hidden... and who are you to say how big or small someone's music library is... you sound like a very bitter person.
  14. I agree, luckily I was able to return the unit to the store where I bought it 4 months after purchase using the argument that Sony never made this info public (and was only hidden deep inside the online user manual) when buying the unit and if I knew this I would of never even considered it.
  15. Sony has hidden this info to one spot in their user manual online for the HAP-Z1ES. [h=1]When registering music files to the HDD AUDIO PLAYER[/h][h=3]Maximum number of music files that can be registered (operation guaranteed number of music)[/h]The HDD AUDIO PLAYER supports handling of up to 20,000 music files."
